Branding & Character Design for Who's Your Caddie / Trailblazers
Table of Contents

Overview
We’re building a mobile and web-based disc golf application called Who’s Your Caddie, featuring a community initiative called Trailblazers. Trailblazers rewards users for contributing disc golf course data, forming the backbone of our shared course database. Our current visuals are AI-generated. While they help communicate our concept, we’re not designers. We’re looking to partner with a skilled artist to replace them with professional, scalable, and distinctive assets that reflect the project’s fun, bold spirit.
Budget
Our budget for this engagement is $1200–$2000 USD, depending on experience and scope. We welcome proposals that justify the higher end through deeper involvement or additional creative contributions (e.g. animation support, expanded characters, etc.).
Scope of Work
We are looking for a collaborative artist to help us shape the visual identity of both Who’s Your Caddie and Trailblazers. Deliverables include:
- Final branding design for:
- Who's Your Caddie (main app)
- Trailblazers (community initiative)
- Logo creation:
- Horizontal, vertical, and icon-only versions
- Color, grayscale, and monochrome variations
- Formats for web, mobile, and merchandise use
- Character illustration:
- 1–3 polished, cartoon-style characters in a consistent
housestyle - Designed for use in UI, marketing, and community-building contexts
- Styled for expansion — future characters should match
- Export-ready assets:
- SVG, PNG, and native layered formats (Affinity Designer 2 preferred, PSD acceptable)
- Clearly labeled and organized file structures
- Optional but preferred:
- Brand color palette (primary, secondary, highlight, background)
- Font recommendations (web-safe or packaged with license)
- General design advice to unify and elevate our current approach
Deliverables
- Logos (horizontal, vertical, icon-only; full color, grayscale, monochrome)
- Characters (1 male + 1 female, final polished illustrations)
- Brand Colors (full palette with usage notes)
- Fonts (recommended pairings, license info if applicable)
- Exports (SVG, PNG, and editable layered files for each asset)
Collaboration Style
We value partnership over handoff. You won’t be stuck guessing — you’ll work directly with the founder and get:
- Rapid feedback
- Clear direction
- Reference images and working prototypes
- Space to push back and suggest smarter ideas
Our AI samples were created in isolation — now we want your expertise to refine and elevate them into a professional, flexible, and emotionally resonant brand.
This project may expand into future collaborations, including additional characters, illustrations, animations, or seasonal themes. We’re hoping to build a lasting relationship with the right artist.

Notes for asset management: These assets are directional and are intended to inform the final design direction. They should be exported in SVG, PNG, and native layered formats, with clearly labeled file structures for easy handoff and future expansion.
