About
The initial goal of this guide was to provide an easily filterable and sortable spreadsheet to figure out which cooking recipes are worth making. However, as I got more and more impatient waiting for game updates, I gradually started adding more and more info and functions, especially geared towards completionists. I'm still adding more, but let me know if you would like to see anything else! (In the mean time, check out the wiki and guides from the sources above for more specific info!)
In addition, this spreadsheet uses calculations and conditional formatting which make it very easy to add on new recipes while the game is still in early access. Feel free to save this file to your own drive and poke around to see how it works!
Settings
- Calculate Net Profit using base ingredients?
- Example: Recipes that use 1 Iron Ingot as an ingredient will deduct the price of 10 Iron Ore instead of 1 Iron Ingot in the Net Profit calculation. Based on the Multi-Step Ingredients tab.
- Apply Metal Ore Skill Perk Reductions?
- Update calculations to include Blacksmithing skill perks that reduce the amount of ore required to craft metal ingots. Requires you to select active skills in Skill Perks tab.
Notes
- To filter and sort columns (without having to copy the file), right click a column to sort. You should then be able to filter and sort the whole table.
- To filter and sort tables like the one in the Full Gift Guide tab (without having to copy the file), click on the table icon next to the table name. Then click "Create filter view".
- If you want to change the checkboxes for what ingredients you need to buy or what recipes you obtained, you need to copy the file to your own drive.
- If the "Calculate Net Profits using base ingredients?" setting is turned off, Ingredient Sell Prices calculate the raw sell prices of the ingredients. Seed price or profit from milling or cooking pre-requisite dishes (e.g., bread) are not accounted for.
- To see calculations for each ingredient, unhide columns. You will need to save it to your own drive.
- Note that this spreadsheet contains spoilers for unreleased content. Some recipes contain ingredients that are likely from new areas that have not yet been revealed. Most of these items are grayed out and/or tagged in some way. View at your own discretion.
- Recommended recipes on the "Ingredients" page are my personal recommendations based on profits and ease of each recipe. There may be more profitable recipes but I typically avoid anything requiring forageables and purchased ingredients.
- Tip: If you're clicking on spreadsheet links and/or you want to navigate back and forth between pages you've visited, you can use the shortcuts Alt+← and Alt+→

This section continues with wide-ranging rows for dozens of items (crops, milled products, animal products, artifacts, furniture, and more), as well as meta-cells for costs, profits, and cookbook cross-links. See the original dataset for complete rows.
Ingredient & Recipe Tables Overview
Note: The original dataset includes multiple large tables with rows of data across categories (Items, Recipes, Costs, Profits, Sell prices, and cross-references). The sample below illustrates the structure across sections and demonstrates how the data is organized for filtering and sorting. The actual data set contains many more rows than shown here, including nested multi-step recipes and derived costs.
- Name, Sort Order, Season, Almanac, Category, Item, Buy Price, *Buy Item? (for recipe), Sell Price, Loved/Liked, Gift?, Used in Cooking?, Used in Crafting?, Needed for Museum?, Recommended Recipe, (v0.12.4) Notes, Default Sorting: Name > Sort Order
- Rows are followed by cost and profit calculations for net profit, including multi-step ingredients chains (e.g., Wheat -> Flour -> Bread -> Garlic Bread).
Sample Rows (paraphrased):
- Blackberry Jam (Pantry, Jams) 20 buy price, 0 to 2 cook steps, etc.
- Blueberry Jam 20 buy price, 2-4 steps etc.
- Bread 5.6, Cooked Dishes, 190 sell, etc.
- Noodles 5.6, Cooked Dishes, 190 sell, etc.
- Vegetable Pot Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Cranberry Orange Scone – various inputs and profits.
These tabular datasets are intended to be used with filters to identify profitable or efficient recipes depending on the player's current resources and skill perks. They also indicate which recipes are Recommended by the author based on profits and ease of production, and which recipes provide spoiling or spoiler elements.

The Original Artifact & Gift System (High-Level Overview)
A separate set of tables tracks character interactions, including Loved/Liked gifts, Gifted status, and Season/Location constraints. The system maps: who loves which items, which items are always available, and who will gift certain items in return. For example:
- Adeline loves Coffee, Lemon Pie, and Middlemist forage. She is in Spring and located in the Towns.
- Balor loves Alda Gem Bracelet, Perfect Diamond, and Crystal Rose; the dataset includes exact Gifted status and Gift types.
- Celine Loves Breath of Flame Forage; Season and Location constraints are recorded across the full dataset.
In addition, there are long lists of Gift Crate items and Giftable furniture, each with Buyable status, Season constraints, and Source links.
The dataset also includes a Completion Value summary: # Completed, Completion %, and per-collection status; this can guide players through end-game content like artifact hunts and house-building expansions.
Images & Visual References
This document includes several images that showcase filters, settings, and structures of the spreadsheet. The first image demonstrates the Quick Links section and a View of the Table of Contents with anchors. The other images illustrate large data tables with color-coding and filters, as well as the multi-tab layout of the spreadsheet with color-coded sections for costs, profits, and per-item details. The visuals assist with understanding how to navigate the spreadsheet, filter by column headers, and interpret the color-coded cells.
