Overview
Welcome to the Archipelago Games Sheet. This page serves as a directory for playable Worlds, specifically for games that are currently in a playable state within the Archipelago multiworld framework. It aggregates status tags, sources for APWorlds and clients, and links to relevant setup and governance guidance. The content that follows documents how the statuses are defined and how the sheet should be edited and maintained to ensure accuracy for hosts and players alike.
The Archipelago project uses a few status tags to describe how a given game behaves within a run. The primary statuses are Unstable, Stable, In Review, and APWorld Only. APWorld Only indicates that the game is feature complete and will only be released as an APWorld. Unstable indicates that while the game is playable, there are issues that hosts should be prepared for. Stable means the game is fully playable without major issues or workarounds. In Review indicates efforts to merge the game into the Archipelago main repository, typically reflecting a stable base.
The sheet also differentiates among Merged, In Review, Stable, and Unstable, with Merged meaning the game will appear in the next Archipelago release. In Review games are listed in order of their PR dates, whereas other entries are sorted alphabetically, with games in the same series grouped together in series order. This organizational scheme helps maintainers and hosts assess progress and plan for future versions of Archipelago. Some entries may be marked Unstable but later moved to Stable if the criteria for stability are met. The editing process is collaborative: changes should be commented with notes explaining why a tag was moved, so reviewers can verify the rationale.
Another core note is that non playable entries should not be added to this sheet. If there is interest in playable projects that are not yet functional, they can be viewed in the Future Game Design channel on the main Archipelago Discord. The community can decide if there is demand to bring them back into development.
When generating a game, the APWorld files should be placed in the host's Archipelago installation under the custom_worlds folder. A host can generate the game by following the setup instructions linked in the sheet. The APWorlds and clients may be hosted at separate sources; the APWorld can serve as the client in some cases. The Archipelago Wiki and Discord threads linked in the sheet provide ongoing guidance and updates for APWorld generation, downloads, and troubleshooting. Do not sort the content manually; only original maintainers should adjust ordering according to the governance rules documented in the sheet.
A broad list of APWorlds, clients, and related notes is maintained in the sheet. This includes resources for popular titles such as Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2, and many others, with APWorld specific links and notes. The sheet also references temporary or age-restricted content; where applicable, it indicates that such content is Not Allowed on the main Discord due to age restrictions and directs users to the After Dark channel for appropriate discussion.
The sheet emphasizes caution when editing: the person generating a game needs a copy of each APWorld to be used, and certain ROMs or dependencies may be required. Instructions for generation are provided via the Archipelago setup guide. Alternate sources for APWorld information are also linked to ensure hosts have access to the latest guidance and updates.
Notes on governance and operations follow. It is important to keep the hosting environment secure by not running as an admin unless required for a specific APWorld. Many APWorlds have associated client tools, trackers, and setup guides. The sheet also lists direct links to various APWorlds, clients, trackers, and guides. These resources help hosts verify compatibility and maintain smooth gameplay when running a multiworld session.
This page also serves as a repository for the broader ecosystem of tools and meta games that interact with Archipelago worlds. The next sections provide more detailed guidance and a curated catalog of factors that influence the setup and play experience across a broad set of titles.
FAQ
What do Unstable, Stable, In Review, and APWorld Only mean? APWorld Only means Stable and more or less feature complete and will only be released as an APWorld. Merged means it will appear in the next Archipelago release. In Review indicates an effort to merge into Archipelago main and is usually considered stable. Stable means the game is fully playable without major issues or workarounds, and the host likely will not encounter significant problems. Unstable means the game is playable but has issues that the host should be prepared for. Broken in Main means not playable in the current Archipelago version without a modified client or APWorld.
In Review games are sorted by PR date; major updates to supported games may be placed at the top. The rest are sorted alphabetically, with games in the same series placed next to each other in series order. It can be difficult to determine when a game should move from Unstable to Stable, so maintainers are encouraged to adjust the tag when criteria are met and a reviewer validates the change. If you see a game marked Unstable that you believe meets Stable criteria, you can move it to Stable with a note. A future reviewer will adjust its position as needed.
If you have a game that appears to be playable but is not listed here, you may reference it in the Future Game Design channel but should not add it to the main sheet until it meets the stability criteria and is ready for broader testing. The host should not publish or use a non-validated APWorld in a live session. The sheet explicitly notes that APWorlds listed here should not be downloaded from unreliable sources. APWorlds should be obtained from trusted sources.
The sheet provides notes on how to generate games. For example, headers are locked to prevent unintended auto-sorts, and the APWorld files should be placed in the host's Archipelago installation under the custom_worlds folder. The host can then generate the game following the linked setup instructions. If anything is missing, editors are encouraged to add the missing pieces and rely on others to review and finalize.
Alternate source for APWorld information is the Discord community. Do not sort the sheet manually. The After Dark channel hosts discussions for age-restricted content. The sheet also includes direct links to the APWorld and Client downloads and notes on where to obtain them.

Notes on Editing and Usage
Please be mindful when editing. The person generating the game needs a copy of each APWorld that is to be used for the game. If the APWorld requires a specific ROM to generate, they need that ROM too. Headers are locked to prevent auto-sorts from being done. The APWorlds should be placed in the host's Archipelago install in the custom_worlds folder. Then, the host can generate the game by following the instructions linked in the setup guide. If something is missing, add it; someone else will move it later. Alternate source to get information on APWorlds: the Discord server link provided in this sheet. Do not sort; download APWorlds from trusted sources. You need to run as an admin to generate a game, which is a potential security vulnerability if you encounter a malicious APWorld.

[1] In Review games are in the order they were PR'd on the github, except major updates to supported games get put at the top. Basically, the higher up it is, the more likely it'll be in the next version of Archipelago.
[2] - APWorld Only: Stable and more or less feature complete. Will only be released as an APWorld. - Merged: Will be in the next version of Archipelago. - In Review: Attempting to get merged into Archipelago main. Usually can be assumed to be stable. - Stable: Should be completely playable without major issues/workarounds. The host probably won't encounter much in the way of issues. Criteria for stable includes no common generation failures, no common accessibility issues, the client doesn't have issues that may require the host to use /send_location, and other similar ideas. - Unstable: Playable, but there's enough issues that the host should be prepared for problems. - Broken in Main: Not playable in the current version of Archipelago without a modified client and/or APWorld. In Review games are sorted by PR date, except for major updates to supported games which get put at the top. The rest are sorted alphabetically, with games in the same series put next to each other in series order. Note: It is difficult to keep up with when a game should be moved from Unstable to Stable. Please feel free to change the tag from Unstable to Stable if you feel it meets the above description for Stable. Someone else will move it to the proper position on the list after validating it.

This sheet also includes a reference list of main game entries that duplicates the main Archipelago game catalog. The links in this section point to the official Archipelago pages for each game, with accompanying setup pages and Discord channels for community support. The purpose of this duplication is to provide a consolidated reference that users can scan quickly for direct access to game information, setup steps, and discussion threads. The list is not intended to replace the primary game directory on archipelago.gg, but rather to serve as a convenient index for multiworld hosts and participants.
