How to use ?

Copy the sheet, go to the hell bracket you want to run, update the prices of the mats on the right and check what's best.

TL;DR

TL;DR:

• T3 : Oreha > Golds > Leapstones > Juice Mats > Special Honing
• T4 : Abidos > Special Honing (RNG) ≈ Juice Mats >>>>> Golds >>>>> Leapstones

What prices should I use ?

Use market prices for leapstones and fusion mats.

For juice mats, you can use either market price (but juice mats have always been overpriced on market) or maxroll upgrade calculator value. If you are still doing Advanced Honing, market price is fine because you always want to have juice mats. If you're done with Advanced Honing, Maxroll value might be better.

For special honing, you should use maxroll.gg upgrade calculator and use your most valuable next upgrade.

I took the special honing reward and didn't get any upgrades ! It's bad

Special Honing is RNG. This chart only shows the value, but you can get lucky and get 10 upgrades from the free taps, or not a single one.

Only take this reward if you're ok with the gamble. It's good value, but random.

Fusion Mats, Golds and Juice Mats are safer.

How to use maxroll.gg upgrade calculator to get the prices ?

Choose the gear you're currently upgrading (T3 Akkan or T4), input the market price of the mats : at least fusion, leapstones, juice, books. I don't put guardians/destructions and shards, but you can if you value these ressources. Also, if your character is in a current Express Event, you should check it.

Check the upgrade you want to do, check "Show material values", setup the calculator to the scenario you want (I run Average scenario / Optimal materials).

On the right of the upgrade you're simulating, there should be values for Juice Mats, Special Honing and Books (red mean under the market price).

Guardians, Destructions, Shards, Silvers, Quality mats, Bracelets and Accessories ?

Guardians stones, Destructions stones, Shards and Silvers are usually not a bottleneck.

You should consider Shards only if you're starving.

Take Quality mats at your own discretion (if you really need to upgrade quality on your gear and there are no Fusion, Special Honing, Golds or Juice).

Bracelets are good : they are guaranteed to have max lines for their rarity (4 lines for T4 relic, 5 lines for T4 ancient). IMO ignore until 1680, then take them if you don't have a perfect bracelet when there is no Abidos / Juice / Special Honing to try to fish for a good ancient bracelet with 5 lines.

Accessories are bad. They are guaranteed to have max Enlightenment points, but you still need to pay full price in golds and shards to roll them. And they are bound.
