Is there a new life stage that's been added?

Nice catch! I wouldn’t exactly say that it’s “new” or “added” because the game isn’t out yet, so
everything we add or remove at this point in time is still in the nebulous flux of game
development primordial soup (but to be less cheeky about it, yes, there’s a new lifestage! Based
on playtester feedback and discussions amongst the team, we tweaked that recently)

Hi! This week I have questions about CHEATS. My first question is: is there a way, a cheat
maybe, to teleport your Para from one place to another? Especially an easy one like the "go
here" interaction but instead of running to a place, your Para instantly appears at the other
place.
My second question that really should have been the first is: are there any cheats in the game?
(Cheating skill level, work level, but also more functional ones like teleporting etc)
Is there a "I'm stuck" button in case our Para needs to be reset for xyz reason?

Hi Joy! Cheats are an interesting subject, Alex talked about cheats back in 2020 and what he
said still applies here. The first money cheats we had even were voted on by the community!
Talk about a blast from the past!
The current list of “cheats” is about 300 items long, but most of them might not make sense
for regular players, and we either will remove them, hide them, or something else. We used
cheat as tools during our development of the game, whenever a developer needed something
that couldn’t be a full game mechanic, it was added as a cheat. Think about features like
showing a graph of fat/muscle skin textures to see if there were any gaps in coverage, or
printing the amount of assets loaded in the game to investigate memory issues.
There are some cheats that will help players, like playing with money, skill levels, or needs, but
we don’t automatically create cheats for every feature in the game. It might be possible that
there is no cheat to get a specific job extra, or gain a specific relationship label, etc. We’ll work
on these more during early access based on what people request!
Finally, there is an “unstuck” cheat, but it’s not exactly teleporting, it’ll move your Para to the
closest position that “makes sense” for the game. Hope this all answers your questions!

When (if) there’s winter and when (if) there’s fishing, we’ll be able to answer that question! Right
now it’s not anything I could answer more precisely than a coin toss...

If a para was enemies with another para, could we be able to get into physical altercations with
them, like slapping or fighting?
Jérémie:
More content for adversarial relationships is certainly needed, but I could see a “slap” together
card working out pretty well, indeed! It wouldn’t be a huge violent slap, but ya know 🙂

If a para has a partially unnatural hair color and partially natural hair color, or heterochromia with
one eye a natural color and one eye an unnatural color, would the para's genetics match the
existing natural color, or be randomized?
Anna:
Genetics will match the first color of the swatch! So, for example if you have a brown eye and a
green eye, it will take the first one and consider the genetics as brown eyes genetics, since
heterochromia is not considered as an inheritable trait right now. For hair color, if you have
brown hair with blue tips, it will consider it brown in the genetics!

would you guys ever be interested in creating and incorporating something like urban legends
for the town? some stories that can be passed around town, among family members
and...maybe some of them are true? 👀 only the persistent ones get to find out.
(yes urban legends surrounding sorcerers and the like would be fun but on the more realistic
side, something like hidden buried treasure would be cool too)

Town lore isn’t something we’ll talk about at this point! This can include (but not be limited to)
urban legends, but we’ll see!

He’s just a little guy Alex made to showcase sliders in a video a few years back!

I was wondering about the scene from the first Sebastian's Summer where he takes his shoes
off at the door. Will that still be a thing?
Jérémie:
That’s not a thing right now, no! Having the shoes disappear when you are indoors is quite easy,
but we realized that playing an animation each time to take them on/off would be a pain. Maybe
we could still add that in in the future, or someone could mod it in, but it would need more
thinking for sure!
🏡Build mode

Will we be able to adjust existing lot placement when early access releases, or will that be
something that's added later with town creation?
Jérémie:
Without using cheats, this will not be possible when the game releases in early access. World
edition tools will come in a later update. You could still use cheats (if we leave these in), but it
might just break your save file (because they would be developer-facing tools which are
unstable or not tested and debugged to the extent we want player-facing tools to be!). Thanks

what's the extend of customization for flooring and wallpapers? for example, will we be able to
change the colour of groutlines? or, in a floor/wallpaper with different colours, will we be able to
adjust each on separately?
Chloé:
Hello Amor! It really depends on the wallpaper/tiles. Usually, grout lines aren’t recolorable, but if
there are multiple colors in your tiles, you will have the option to chose them all. All elements in
wallpapers are recolorable for the most part, and the moldings that are sometimes included in
wall textures are also recolorable :)
From Minakie: I was wondering if I'd be able to recreate something like this in Paralives, either
by shrinking down a bathtub, or by building a regular shower but then having tiny half-walls
around it. If I did that, would Paras still be able to use the shower? (this is something common in
some european countries, whether by tradition, for accessibility purposes or space conservation)
Chloé:
You mean the tiling that doesn’t go up to the ceiling? At the moment, I do not think so, but as we
add more wall textures down the line, this is the kind of textures (half wall, half tiles) we could
add!

going off what satomi asked last week about prosthetics being accessories is there a way to
lock an accessory to every outfit category so you don’t have to manually add it to every single
new outfit you make?
Jérémie:
That’s not currently possible, no. The outfit system was made to be very simple for this first
version, and the prosthetics weren’t even part of the equation when we made it. Maybe in the
future, if it’s needed!
