Trainer Tips (From Information Menu) {#trainer-tips}
- You can wonder trade in any Pokémon Center in exchange for 5BP.
- You can get your mystery gift by saving the game, resetting and using the option Mystery Gift in the save load menu.
- You can get starters by trading red, green and blue shards in Lavaridge, Fallarbor and Lilycove.
- You can change any Greninja ability with an ability capsule to get a Battle Bond Greninja.
- You can see any Pokémon Evolution requirements in the summary screen in the last page by scrolling the info pressing A.
- If the dexnav chain is not working for you it's because you have to register the Pokemon in the dexnav before starting the chain by pressing R in the dexnav menu.
- You can get all the evolution items in Oldale or in Eight island at 20 Battle Points each.
- You can get nature mints in Oldale Battle Mart for 10BP a piece.
- In hard mode the Gym leader will match the number of Pokémon in your team early on; if you are having problems you can leave some of them in the Pokemon Storage System.
- You can farm BP by rebattling Gym Trainers; you can fight them an infinite number of times by talking with the leader after defeating it in a rematch.
- You can get the Mega Bracelet by defeating 11 gym leaders.
- You can get more Sevii Island Tickets by finding corless at the end of each island route or dungeon; you also always start with one random ticket.
- In Normal or Hard difficulty mode, the level of the Gym Leader's strongest pokemon will determine your own Level Cap. On Normal mode, you will gain XP & levels but your stats will remain locked in at the level cap until you clear the Gym. On Hard mode, you will not gain any XP until you clear the Gym.
- Don't forget to invest some of your Trainer Skill points into Stat Boosts! For each point you invest, all pokemon you own gain an equal amount of IVs in that Stat.
- All Pokemon start with 0 IVs until you begin putting in Skill points for Stat Boosts. If you notice your Pokemon isn't performing the way you like, try adding to your Stat Boosts.
- BP is used for some of the best & most important items in the game, so take advantage early by investing in Bonus Battle skills. This increases the chance you get double BP from any battle.
- Trainer XP Boost will make collecting other skills much easier, while Pokemon XP boost will help lessen the grind on your journey!
- Pokemon in your party that know an Egg move can teach your other (compatible) Pokemon how to use the move. Simply place two pokemon of the same egg group in your party and select Learn Moves on the pokemon you want to teach. If you're struggling early in the game, try catching lots of pokemon and seeing if you can get any Egg moves!
- Like Emerald, your Shiny odds are 1/8192, but you can make finding them easier by acquiring the Shiny Charm, rewarded after defeating all 16 gyms.
- You can Shiny hunt with DexNav! Target your selected pokemon, and you will have increased odds after 50 consecutive KOs. Be sure to bring a party member who can efficiently fight your target!
- If you give your leading Pokémon an Everstone, you will only encounter the base form of the Pokemon you would've seen, regardless of the Level of the wild pokemon.
- EV Training is made much easier with Power Items, available at Eight Island Battle Mart and Lilycove Dept. Store. While held, they increase your EV gain to 20 per defeated Pokemon!
- You can battle your own Pokemon! Just place them in Box 1 in slots 1-6, go to the blue nurse, click PC storage battle, and they'll have the exact features of that Pokemon. EXP, BP and Trainer Points are awarded via victory!
- Having a Sableye in your party without an item has a 10% chance to be holding a random type gem after each KO.
Pokemon ROWE: Key Item + Badge Rewards
Pokemon ROWE features Key Items for Gym Rewards; they are used for progressing through the game. They range from Charms to make certain functions easier to use, or tools that function identically to the original Emerald's HM moves. It is important to note that certain badge points grant access to Move Tutors; they can be found with the Blue Nurse at any Pokemon Center.
Color Code Notes: Blue = Key Item Rewards; Green = Functions/HMs; Red = Tutor Addons; Purple = Boosting Charms; Gold = Start items and the Mega Bracelet. Note that the Itemfinder is only gifted in the Start section in ROWE v2.0.3.1+.
