Welcome to the Tower
Welcome to the tower in Ascension 1. You can see that you are on Ascension 1 while being on the 1st floor and marked with 1 pip on the wall. The tiles for the types will randomize ascension 1 seeds for that type you step on. The rainbow ball is typeless and will include all types. The ring outside the types represent your “wins” in that type. If you win ALL types on the floor, then the pip will become a star. If you wish to try Ascension 2 then go upstairs and you can see the 2 pips on the wall or 3rd floor for Ascension 3 with 3 pips on the wall. Oak may say you cannot go upstairs yet if you didn’t beat all the types from the earlier ascension like Croz intended, but you can ignore that soft warning as that is a recommendation and you can still jump to higher ascensions.
Before you start. If you want to fight Crozwords or SaltyDolphin as the rival then you have to select “Croz” name in the drop down or type in “Salty” (not case sensitive) in the rival name. These rivals will have custom dialogue throughout the run instead of the standard rival dialogue.

-get the item by the old man in Viridian City behind the cut tree(can access going around).
You may either pivot in Route 1, Route 2, Route 22 and Viridian Forest before starting your run or taking these 5 abandoned pokemon. 100% catch rate.

FAQ for Ascension 1
All of these are answering FAQ for A1. A2 and A3 will be different in certain FAQ answers.
1. Can we use held items before and including Brock?
a. Yes, even without a voucher/found item prize, but all of them will need to be cleansed after Brock. You also get a guaranteed Lucky Egg in the beginning that you may use.
2. What are the Abandoned pokemon? How does pivoting work?
a. You may choose to either take the 5 abandoned pokemon OR talk to Oak without taking the abandoned pokemon.
b. The abandoned pokemon are all level 8 and they are spawns from Routes 1, 2, 22, and Viridian Forest. They will be in random pokeballs and always be different pokemon(no repeats, but one could be the same as your starter). If you choose to take one or all abandoned pokemon, then you will get 0 balls from Professor Oak. You cannot find a ball upon pickup to catch more if you choose abandoned pokemon, so better to just pick them all up.
c. If you choose to talk to Oak without picking up the abandoned pokemon, then you will get 5 random pokeballs for pivoting. The perk here is you may catch the same pokemon in the same route multiple times.
d. Items on pivots: If a pivot catch is holding an item. You may only look at the TM or keep that held item if you choose to run that pokemon for the run. All other items are scrapped.
e. If you find balls while pivoting, then you may use those balls if you chose to talk to professor Oak for the 5 random balls(choosing to manually pivot instead of taking the abandoned pokemon)
3. How does Pickup work in Roguemon? The moves Thief and covet used to steal held items also work the same way.
a. You may use the items you get from Pickup, or stolen from Thief/covet. The items are treated differently depending on the type of item though.
i. Consumables(like berries/herbs/etc): You may continue to keep the consumable items equipped, but if you unequip them, then you must use/cleanse/trash them.
ii. Medicine(Rare Candies/PP ups/Calcium/etc): You must unequip and use them right away or trash them. If you have candy jar, then you may keep the Rare candies and PP ups/maxes in the bag per the prize effect.
ii i. Healing Items(Status/HP heals like potions/elixers/antidotes/full heals(not berries)/etc): You must add these into your bag ASAP. If you are still within cap then keep. If you go over cap, then you will use/toss them normally.
iiii. Other Items(TMs/X items/other non consumable items like Charcoal/scope lens/etc): You must add these to your bag right away, but you cannot use them unless you unlock them via prize. If you have an Item Voucher/TM voucher already, then you may unlock them right away. Otherwise you will have to use the found item/currently held TM prize on the next milestone prize reward for the appropriate item/TM. If you have the X Factor prize, then you may use the X items you get.
v. Revives: You may never use the revives from pickup. You can only use the revive from the revive prize.

4. Can you buy pokeballs or anything?
a. The only items you can buy from shops are Repels. Everything else is picked up on the ground or from prizes. You cannot buy pokeballs either. They must be found on the ground.
5. Berry Pouch: Can I put berries back in my bag with the berry pouch prize?
a. No. Berry pouch only allows you to save and keep HP healing berries in the bag, and status healing berries won’t count towards status cap. If you remove a berry from equip, then you still trash it.
6. What Items are banned?
a. Leftovers is banned
b. Revives found on ground cannot be used, only the Revive from Revive prize is allowed.
7. What abilities are banned?
a. Rain Dish ability is legal normally, but you cannot use Rain Dance with Rain Dish.
b. If Gen 4 abilities get added, “No Guard” ability cannot use OHKO moves.
8. What moves are banned?
a. Spore
b. Passive healing moves like Recover/Morning Sun/Leech seed/etc.
c. Complete list coming soon.
9. How many Curses are in Ascension 1?
a. There is only 1 route segment Curse in Ascension 1. It will be on any non gym segment from Route 3 or later.
10. How does the Revive clause/prize work?
a. If you have the revive prize, then you may use it.
b. If your lead pokemon faints, then bring HM friend out. Use the revive on Lead pokemon.
If HM Friend is still alive, then fight with HM friend until it faints. Then bring out lead pokemon to continue the segment.
11. Can I use the Beds in Silph co and the healing tile in Pokemon Tower?
a. Yes. You may use the beds and healing tile only one time at your discretion.
