it does become bearable. Reach wise I would say 50m is the comfortable maximum. You can still engage beyond that, but that will definitely require microbursting or even tapfire. All in all I enjoyed this one. Not my favourite type of gun, but I can easily see what type of player would enjoy this. If you want a close range beast that can occasionally reach out with some mechanical help, this works great.
I think they made a good decision in making this the starter AR too. The recoil is kinda rough, but not the worst you will encounter. And there will come a lot of options that will feel like a breeze handling wise after this one. So it sets you up quite nicely.
I don't do rankings as of yet, but if you were to ask me in person, I'd probably put this somewhere in lower A-Tier right now.

Is going for Headshots worth it? BTK with 1 Headshot BTK with 2 Headshots BTK with 3 Headshots No. Headshots do absolutely nothing on this weapon by default. You could use the Hollow Point ammo to improve that, but even then you would have to land 2 Headshots per encounter to see any benefits. That is unrealistic for the average player and I think spending those points on something like a bigger magazine or a better hipfire will help you out a lot more. So in general: This weapon is for Bodyshots only.

Very easy to handle, and personally it has a very satisfying sound to it. But in the current environment the TTK is just too slow, at least for close range. This is also the 3rd gun in the lineup with the same profile. The M433 for close range, the G36 for lower midrange and this one with an even slower RPM for the higher midrange. Interesting balancing choices, but I do like it. This does mean though that this weapon is definitely not something you want to use inside buildings. It is pretty great at countering snipers and you can pretty much delete anything running over an open field 100m away. Depending on the playstyle this can easily be A-Tier too, but for me personally it's more of a solid B-Tier.

Is going for Headshots worth it? BTK with 1 Headshot BTK with 2 Headshots BTK with 3 Headshots Egh... Since this one is much easier to build into a laser than the M433 I can reasonably see why someone would argue landing 2 Headshots would be viable. Fine. But in that case Hollow Point ammo would be enough. Synthetic Tip only changes the game when you land 3 Headshots per encounter...and at that point I have my doubts again. I don't think a regular player will manage to do that consistently. It might get you some surprisingly quick kills once in a while, but the waste of points for that gamble is something I'd much rather invest somewhere else personally. So ultimately I would say: Somewhat, if you can manage to land 2. Don't use Synthetic Tip as it is a waste of points unless you can consistently land 3 Headshots. But...who can? Personally I won't bother with neither, there are other weapons for this type of playstyle that do it better. This is a low skill bodyshot laser for midrange. And that is all it needs to be honestly.

Almost the fastest TTK in the entire game fittingly paired with the most atrocious recoil in the game too. A match made in heaven. But honestly, of course this has to be the downside to keep it balanced. With one of the better grips it does become manageable though, and for close range there is no discussion. This is the THE close range AR, bar none. For the people that mainly play TDM, SDM, Domination or KotH you won't find anything better in this category.
I have to put this into S-Tier just because of the raw performance. But for my own playstyle this is more of a B because it is so
limited in what it can do.

Is going for Headshots worth it? BTK with 1 Headshot BTK with 2 Headshots BTK with 3 Headshots Yes. With one of the special ammo types at least. Since this is essentially an even slower firing G36 and even easier to handle...my problems from that weapon have shrunk for this one. And that's also why for this one it might even be worth going for the Synthetic Tip ammo. But that is not a recommendation as of yet. I have to try that myself first. I would love to hear your experiences with that though, if you've already tried it.

Ironically I think that perfectly encapsulates my feelings about it. It's good. It works. It also has the 3 shot range, just a bit shorter. Hipfire is good. Recoil is ok.
It exists. Maybe it's just too average to be memorably to me. Doesn't mean it's a bad weapon though. Lower A-Tier from a technical standpoint. B-Tier for me, because of how boring it felt and because I actively dislike the reload animation and sound. Feels like a nerf gun.
