Data Sources & Useful Star Citizen Websites
Updated: 2024-08-31 The SC fansite sphere is wast, and I'm only one fish in the ocean, there are a lot of resources for SC information out there, here I link a selection I personally find useful or fun.
Logo Name & URL Contents
| Logo | Name & URL | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| --- | --- | --- |
| VerseGuide | verseguide.com | Best map/navigation source for SC, most of my location based sheets are heavily based on VerseGuide info, has some mild spoilers if you enable hidden content, but also warns you about spoilers if you do. Data primarily datamined which has pros and cons, pros everything is in there, cons: it might have placeholder:y names unless corrected by players or might show locations that are in the files, but CIG have hidden because it's either old content that's removed or upcoming content not yet added. Derelict Settlements locations were in there for months before being in the game officially, at last one Distribution Center location was in there for a long time also before there was anything to see. I'm a contributor to the site, adding pictures etc. |
| Star Citizen Wiki | starcitizen.tools | Good source of information for SC though has some errors and some out of date information, it's "broader" than most other information sources though, since it's mostly player provided information from all angles, not primarily datamined game files, has a more meta aspect. |
| Cornerstone Universal Item Finder | finder.cstone.space | Very useful reference site that lists all items in SC and if they're sold in a store somewhere, store data isn't minable anymore so that's up to players to report, so there are some errors/omissions but not many. (I've submitted some corrections) The item list and their properties is datamined thus the site has some spoilers in that you can often see items in there that aren't in the game yet, like the new Coramor stuff was in there for months. |
| Cornerstone Planetary Survey | survey.cstone.space | Interesting take on mapping SC, has similar information as VerseGuide but presented very differently, making it more useful in some ways and less in others. One big plus is that you can filter locations in more ways than VerseGuide and you can search for text in the description etc. One con vs VerseGuide is that it's basically a list of places, not a map as such. |
| SC Ships Performances Viewer | spviewer.eu | A very good source of information about SC ships and their stats. Very useful tool to compare ships directly and compare metrics. |
| Erkul DPSCalculator | www.erkul.games | Anotehr good resources for SC ships and ship components. |
| SC Trade Tools | sc-trade.tools | Has useful information about what commodities are sold and bought where and at what prices. |
| United Express Corporation (UEX) | uexcorp.space | Has useful information about what commodities are sold and bought where and at what prices, a lot more complex and powerful than sc-trade.tools, has more of a learning curve. |
| Erecco's Ship Cargo Grid Reference Sheet | A great reference sheet for SC ship's cargo grids, I couldn't make something better myself, so I didn't, my ship tab lists the biggest possible SCU container per ship, but can't really fit more than that into my format. Need more than that? Erecco got you covered. | |
| Dabalta's SC FPS Reference Sheet | All the information you'd ever want about SC FPS guns, their DPS and other stats. | |
| Regolith Co. | Regolith.rocks | Personally not into mining, but the few times I've tried it this is the best resource for mining information I could find or get suggested to me. |
| Starjump Fleetviewer | hangar.link | Fun way to display your ships to other players, not really "useful" but included because it's fun. |
