[P3] DPS Pre-raid BiS - Human/Orc (6% hit) How to use the list
Lionheart Helm Human DW Omokk's Girth Restrainer
Items are ranked by DPS increase, but obviously this varies based on your hit score. Your
first goal is to reach your hit cap, which is 6% with 305 weapon skill.
If you are not human or orc and don't have a built-in 305 weapon skill racial, refer to the
'Other Races' note to know how it affects your gearing process.
PvP items are not listed because they are too powerful and would basically occupy all the
top spots, removing some valuable alternatives from the sheet. If you spend so much time
in-game that you can reach rank 10-12+, we assume you know how to gear.
* Only use Dal'Rends if you have both MH and OH
** Unique, use either as MH or OH depending on your available alternatives. Use the DPS sheet simulation if in doubt.

Your hit cap then becomes 6% and you gear just like a human or an orc, only using weapons that benefit from Edgemaster's (that means not Maces).
If you can't afford Edgemaster's, your other options are:
- Expert Goldminer's Helmet which lets you reach 307 weapon skill with Axes. You then gear like an orc
- Mugger's Belt or Distracting Dagger that let you reach 305/306 weapon skill with Daggers. You then gear with both MH and OH daggers
- Wear 9% hit to cap but you will not benefit from the reduced glancing and dodge penalty which will affect your DPS greatly

Threat option Mitigation option Threat option Mitigation option Items are ranked by TPS or Mitigation increase, but obviously this varies based on your hit score. When gearing for threat, your first goal is to reach your hit cap for consistency, which is 6% with 305 weapon skill. You can achieve 6% with a variety of different pieces listed.
As a tank, you should always carry multiple gear options and mix and match threat and mitigation gear based on your group's needs. You only need as much threat gear as required to stay on top of the second person, with a good enough lead to anticipate execute phase. A massive threat lead is useless and only puts more pressure on your healers for no good reason.

Regarding Onyxia's weapons: we decided to remove them from the Tank BiS gear in light of their very low drop rate (5%). These weapons should be given to your DPS as a priority and not to tanks who have other alternatives such as daggers or Quel'Serrar.

[P5] Fury DPS BiS How to use the list
Lionheart Helm Human DW Onslaught Girdle Items are ranked by DPS increase, but obviously this varies based on your hit score, crit cap and world buffs usage. When in doubt, read the #dps-FAQ and use one of the many warrior simulation tools to find the best gear combination for you.
Your first goal is to reach your hit cap, which is 6% with 305 weapon skill.
If you are not human or orc and don't have a built-in 305 weapon skill racial, refer to the
'Other Races' note to know how it affects your gearing process.
Why is this item not on the list? We decided to exclude from the list items that are only minor upgrades for warriors but crucial BiS parts for other classes, for the sake of encouraging smart gear distribution.
PvP items are not listed because they are too powerful and would basically occupy all the
top spots, removing some valuable alternatives from the sheet. If you spend so much time
in-game that you can reach rank 10-12+, we assume you know how to gear.
* Unique, use either as MH or OH depending on your available alternatives

Threat option Mitigation option Threat option Mitigation option Items are ranked by TPS or Mitigation increase, but obviously this varies based on your hit score. When gearing for threat, your first goal is to reach your hit cap for consistency, which is 6% with 305 weapon skill. You can achieve 6% with a variety of different pieces listed.
As a tank, you should always carry multiple gear options and mix and match threat and mitigation gear based on your group's needs. You only need as much threat gear as required to stay on top of the best DPS, with a small margin. A massive threat lead is useless and only puts more pressure on your healers for no good reason.

[P6] Fury DPS BiS How to use the list
Lionheart Helm Human DW Girdle of the Mentor Items are ranked by DPS increase, but obviously this varies based on your hit score, crit cap and world buffs usage. When in doubt, read the #dps-FAQ and use one of the many warrior simulation tools to find the best gear combination for you.
Your first goal is to reach your hit cap, which is 6% with 305 weapon skill.
If you are not human or orc and don't have a built-in 305 weapon skill racial, refer to the 'Other Races' note to know how it affects your gearing process.
Why is this item not on the list? We decided to exclude from the list items that are only minor upgrades for warriors but crucial BiS parts for other classes, for the sake of encouraging smart gear distribution.
PvP items are not listed because they are too powerful and would basically occupy all the top spots, removing some valuable alternatives from the sheet. If you spend so much time in-game that you can reach rank 12+, we assume you know how to gear.
* Badge is situational. Huge value on cleave encounters, less on single target if your guild uses IEA.

On T3: The 2P bonus has decent threat value and T3 Bracers + T3 Helm (or Shoulders for fashion) are the best threat to mitigation ratio pieces to pick. * On trinkets: While Naxx trinkets are obviously amazing for threat, they are also the most coveted items and you should only take them if you are in a competitive guild and desperately need the threat. As a tank, you should always carry multiple gear options and mix and match threat and mitigation gear based on your group's needs. You only need as much threat gear as required to stay on top of the best DPS, with a small margin. A massive threat lead is useless and only puts more pressure on your healers for no good reason. [BOW] Fury DPS BiS How to use the list
Note: This placeholder replaces the detailed BWL Fury DPS BiS section for readability. The original data includes comprehensive DPS rankings, weapon choices, and race-specific notes for optimal DPS performance in Blackwing Lair encounters.
Final Notes
- The lists above emphasize reaching hit cap first (6% with 305 weapon skill) and then optimizing DPS vs mitigation depending on raid role.
- Edgemaster's Handguards are repeatedly recommended for non- Orc/Human players to enable 305 weapon skill when wielding axes, swords, or daggers.
- PvP items and rank-based gear are omitted in most sections to preserve balance for raid progression.
- For more precise gearing, use dedicated warrior simulation tools and refer to the Fight Club wiki/FAQ referenced in the original content.
