Game Rules and Timing

Game Target Durée du jeu

All games are played to 15 points. Tous les matchs sont jusqu'à 15 points.

Halftime Mi-temps

Halftime starts when the first team reaches 8 points. Halftime starts when the first team reaches 8 points.

The halftime cap is at 40 minutes. Half cap à 40 minutes.

At the halftime cap, play continues until the current scoring attempt is completed. If, after the current scoring attempt is completed, the halftime target has not yet been reached by one team, one is added to the higher score and the resulting number is the new halftime target.

Hard Cap

All games have a hard cap at 80 minutes, indicated by a horn. Hard cap à 80 minutes pour tous les matchs, indiqué par un claxon.

At the hard cap, play continues until the current scoring attempt is completed. If, after the current scoring attempt is completed, the score is tied, play continues until one additional goal is scored. Otherwise, the game ends.

Timeouts

Each team has two team timeouts per half. Chaque équipe a deux temps-morts par demi.

Shared Sidelines

Maximum three people (players or coaches) per team on a shared sideline if a game is being played on both fields. If either game has observers, then no one from either game may be on the shared sideline.

Tournament Rules and Tiebreakers

Ties in pool play results are broken based on the following, in order:

1. Win-Loss record in games among the tied teams

2. Point differential in games among the tied teams

3. Points scored in games among the tied teams

4. Point differential in all current pool games

5. Points scored in all current pool games

6. Point differential in all games played in the tournament

7. Points scored in all games played in the tournament

8. A random contest

Forfaits

Allowable forfeits: Forfaits autorisés:

• A placement game that is the last game of the tournament for both teams which neither team wishes to play. If it is a Regional tournament, then both teams must also be guaranteed to move on or have been eliminated.
• A placement game that is the last game of the tournament for both teams, the teams have played twice with one team winning both games, and either one of the teams does not want to play the game.
