๐ Introduction
Introduction
Class Overview
The purpose of this doc is to provide a singular source-of-truth, comprehensive guide on how to play Night Lord, along with specific nuances and details about the class. By having a single source of information it makes it easier to look up specific questions a player might have, as well as prevent any misinformation, misunderstanding, and miscommunication found in other guides created by those who donโt play the class.
The contents of this doc only reflect what is live on the GMS Maplestory servers (and mostly Heroic) , so some discrepancies may exist between MSEA and KMS if changes and updates have not made it to the GMS live servers; generally, there is a 6 month lag between what goes live on KMS vs. when it arrives to GMS.

Why Play Night Lord?
PROS CONS
โ High and fast burst โ Mobility โ High Weapon Multiplier
โ Weaker off burst DPS โ Ring of Restraint (ROR) reliant โ Glass Cannon
โ Dark Sight โ Untouchable (via Showdown) โ Frailty Curse
โ Must be close to boss for burst
Night Lord Boss Mules
If you want to make Night Lord as a boss mule, go for it, itโs a very fun class. Originally, it was not recommended to play NL as a boss mule. You can read the original text in the Appendix. However, this was written pre-Destiny patch, in the days when people were making ~700m 1b / hour and star force costs were ~2x what it is today (pre-Savior). With the star force cost reduction, playing NL has become more affordable as we have the highest weapon attack multiplier in the game and sf gives flat attack. Combined with increased meso rates from boss mule meta, it costs less time now to push gear to 21 or 22.
๐ Hyper Stats and Skills
Hyper Stats and Skills
Hyper Stats
Hyper stats are largely dependent on your own individual stats and what your character needs. You will always want to maintain 100% crit rate, but the other stats can vary based on where you are in terms of progress in the game. A popular calculator is MathBro's Hyper Stat Optimizer.
Hyper Passive Skills
I personally use the bossing setup 100% of the time since itโs annoying to change.

Ignore Enemy Defense (IED)
โ See Grandis Libraryโs IED and PDR explanation โ Frailty Curse can give Night Lord a staggering 41% IED. This means that the visual IED required for Night Lord is lower than a lot of other classes. โ The IED required depends on the boss's PDR ( Maplestory IED Comparison Chart )
IED Requirements
With a visual IED of 95.47% and 41% IED from Frailty Curseโs, NL has 97.33% total effective IED and hits 90% dmg on 380% PDR bosses.

While some NL skills give +20% IED, some of the most important NL skills do not. Therefore, itโs better to not take into account any IED from our attacking skills.

Skill Nodes : Throw Blasting , Shurrikane , and Dark Lordโs Omen do not have +20% IED
๐ Inner Ability
Inner Ability
Ideal Bossing Inner Ability
Night Lordโs ideal inner ability is Boss Damage, Attack, and Dmg to Abnormal%. In addition, Night Lord does not need Attack Speed +1 to reach the cap.
Devilโs advocate from Hooningโs video to use Boss Damage + 20%, Buff Duration +38%, 8% Dmg to Abnormal.
About Buff Duration
Night Lord used to need at least 50% buff duration so that Terms and Conditions lasted long enough for all stacks of Throw Blasting to be used. Due to this, we used to prefer Buff Duration +38% over Attack +21. However, Attack +21 is preferred now because: โ More sources of buff duration exist โ Sequence makes casting skills faster and therefore Terms and Conditions is more efficient โ With the v263 patch, Throw Blasting was reduced from 68 to 46 charms โ Hexa Death Star allows us to use 20 charms almost instantly
There are many buff duration sources and you should prioritize them all for a stronger burst.

Rolling the Perfect Bossing Inner Ability (Reboot)
BEST Inner Ability Guide MapleStory 2024 Ride or Die
Honor EXP Cost Perfecting your Inner Ability is not cheap. Even with 50% Inner Ability Events, expect to spend millions of Honor Exp. See the estimated cost at MathBro's Inner Ability Calculator.
Consider settling for non-perfect lines if you havenโt amassed Honor Exp.
If you are willing, you could also shell out some meso and save on honor.
Alternate Inner Abilities
Note : With the addition of Inner Ability presets, the viability of additional lines is also possible for just farming, but itโs ultimately your own preference on what you want to prioritize. Drop Rate on the top line is generally preferred for farming fragments, but Meso Rate is also a decent substitution.
MESO While grinding, you may want to opt for a meso first or second line in your inner ability. This is fine and ultimately up to personal preference whether youโd trade the extra damage for the meso, or ignore one of the best in slot second lines (preferably abnormal damage) for meso while leveling. After all, we have access to enough damage to participate in and clear all the content in the game with or without an additional 8% damage or 20% crit rate.
ATTACK SPEED Not recommended However, if you canโt roll boss damage, another useful line, or are running out of honor, attack speed will allow you to save a node slot on speed infusion or avoid using green pot. As Night Lord does not need inner ability to cap attack speed, this line isnโt recommended to keep.
DROP RATE Drop rate is an extremely viable IA to run, given that it affects Oz Boxes, Pitched Boss, Nodestones, and 6th job Sol Erda/Fragments
ATTACK +21 Previously, we did not use ATTACK +21. However, with the shift to DPM Meta, we do. Damage to monsters affected by abnormal statuses is strictly better than this if you are low on Honor EXP and deciding between the two.
๐ค Link Skills
Link Skills
Ideal Link Skills
This guide will only cover ideal link skills. It depends on your own personal stats to know which skills are most efficient ; if youโre low on IED you might want to use the Luminous link skill; if youโre low on Crit Rate you might want to use the Phantom link skill. What link skills you want also depends on whether youโre bossing or training. For more information on specific link skills and their effects, see Grandis Library.
Many players also use the maplescouter link skill efficiency tool. Below is an example from my Maplescouter input as of 11/13/25.
PS. do not actually put your link skills as max in scouter, only use what you plan to use or it inflates your scouter. I only maxed them all to show an example.
Link Skill Examples
NOTE : While I have updated the screenshots below to show the new level 3 links, I have not yet updated the examples to be optimal based on all new available level 3 links yet. However, the examples below are still very good and can be used.

Note: The above link skill setups are examples. Modify based on the situation, especially during bossing.
Unfair Advantage should not be used when you are lower level than the boss

WSE Optimization
The most common format for discussing WSE (Weapon, Secondary, Emblem) potential lines is Att/BD/IED. For example, 6/2/1 means between the 9 lines of potential on your WSE you have 6 lines of attack, 2 lines of boss damage, and 1 line of IED.
The below sections are guidelines. Use maplescouter to fit your unique situation.
Heroic (Reboot)
Rough Guideline
9/0/0 best 8/1/0 second best
Note : In general, both are similar, and the balance can be shifted by boss familiars. If you're not min maxing, settle with whatever you get first. All of the above doesn't matter if you luckerdog double/triple prime. Those will usually beat out any single prime.
Interactive (Regular)
This is a bit more complex as it is affected by your bonus potentials. Assuming your bonus potentials have 21% attack or more, the optimal potentials would be โ Weapon: 2/1/0 โ Secondary: 1/2/0 โ Emblem: 2/0/1 This is also affected by your familiars. With an IED/Boss familiar the emblem will not need IED, for example. The fewer attack lines you have on bonus potentials the more will the optimal lines look like reboot lines. The important thing to take from this is that the optimal lines are interdependent and will dynamically change with your gear and familiars. It will not matter so much if you have two lines of boss on the weapon instead of secondary, itโs just that the attack % potential is a bit lower.
Weapon Soul
In terms of raw damage output, the BIS order is: Mu Gong Soul , ATT +3% , Boss Damage +7%. I personally prefer ATT +3% since I am not min clearing and it keeps things simple. Mu Gong Soul Ideally LUK + 7, but the skill is more important. Increases ATT by 25% for 20 seconds. Cooldown: 120 seconds. Any Tier 1 Soul Weapon ATT +3% Boss Damage +7%
Note : Mu Gong Soul must be level 2 for 20 second duration. Also keep in mind the following: โ Soul duration is not affected by buff duration from IA and legion โ The skill requires charging to use and the charge will deplete when you die โ This also means you cannot use it in Culvert โ In Dojo, you should be able to charge enough for 1 cast around floor 5X (need to test for specific floor) โ Mu Gong soul has a fairly long cast time, so it will take time to get used to it โ See Appendix Mu Gong Soul for how to obtain the soul

Cooldown/CD Hat
Night Lord does NOT need a cooldown/CD hat. However, I see a lot of NLs using -2 for the QOL. -2 is even better if you can get with stat lines.
Current thoughts right now from the NL discord are:
1. Stat hat has the strongest burst dmg (obviously)
2. Perm -2 cd hat is about equal in full rotation dpm to stat hat (extra deathstars) and provides a bit of QoL with miniburst cd
3. Perm -4+ cd hat is a little bit weaker than 1/2, but can help give a 17th burst in a mincut run.
4. Perm -4 cd hat with a stat line is about equal to a 36% stat line
5. Swap stat and cd hat is probably highest dmg output but requires 2 done eternal hats
Special Skill Rings
Using a Ring of Restraint (RoR) on burst with Totalling Ring on mini burst is best. If you do not have a RoR, a Continuous can be an easy to use placeholder but you will not ring swap since the Cont requires charging before use.
Burst (^) RoR 4+
Mini (^) Tot 4 Below is a screenshot from my maplescouter. Ring Level 4 Use Ring of Restraint Attack Power: +100%, Magic ATT: +100%^ Best ring for NL, hands down. Useful in Dojo, Culvert, and Bossing. Continuous Boss Damage: +140%, Attack Power: +10%, Magic ATT: +10% Dojo and Culvert Totalling Increases the main stats by 2% of the sum of all your stats Dojo and Culvert Weapon Jump L Increases LUK by 400% of your equipped main weapon's Attack Power Dojo and Culvert Risk Taker Attack Power: +50%, ends when hit Dojo and Culvert
Crisis HM Activates when your HP and MP are 5% or lower, Attack Power +20%
Dojo and Culvert Must also get Health Cut Ring 1/2/3/4 Mana Cut Ring 1/2/3/4 As of the April 2025 KMS update, the attack boost has been decreased from 100% to 20%, making Crisis HM culvert tech basically dead. Critical Damage Critical Damage +28% Dojo and Culvert
Overdrive Ignores enemy Attack Ignore and attack reflection effects, does 100% damage
Donโt need Overdrive Ring on NL since you should avoid bursting during Damage Reflect Reflective Amplifies incoming damage by 1500% and reflects it
Level 1/2/3/4 for Princess No Pink Whale
Cleansing Grants a 100% chance to cancel all Abnormal Statuses and be immune to Abnormal Status for 3 sec after use
Level 1/2/3/4 for bossing
Note : For Dojo and Culvert, see this video and this video on how to rotate between rings Note : With the release of the Dreamer patch, you are now able to swap Oz rings while summons/projectiles are out. Details on how to setup the configuration to ring swap can be found in this reddit post.
Does NL need a Ring of Restraint (RoR)? Yes. But, donโt just take my word. Here are other pros from around the Maple world:
Even asked Sugar about playing NL without a RoR:
Also see: โ Ring Box Odds โ How To Get The BEST Rings in MapleStory MapleStory Oz Rings Guide
Flames
Spratz on the NL Discord : Easiest way to calculate flames is to transform every flame into t6 atk + x% boss You can use different conversions to get that: 1% boss = 1% dmg = 10 stats = 1% stats t7 diff = t6 atk + 23atk = t6 atk + 7% dmg
whackybeanz : Use the whackybeanz Flame Calculator to view possible flame values based on item type and level. You can also view the probability of getting better flame outcomes as compared to your current flame values.
I created https://aaronlefkow.github.io/flamedistribution/ to help you pick values in whackbeanzโs calculator. Better yet, you can use the unofficial WhackyBeanz Extension.

Throwing Star Barrage
โ Quad Star attacks in 3 extra directions, with extra projectiles dealing 379% damage โ Duration: 30 sec โ Cooldown: 120 sec
10 Attacks per throw without Throwing Star Barrage
25 Attacks per throw with Throwing Star Barrage
Make sure you are close enough to the target so that a total of 25 attacks per throw occur: โ HEXA Quad Star: 10 attacks โ 5 attacks from you โ 5 attacks from Shadow Partner โ Throwing Star Barrage: 15 attacks from you (3 x 5 quad star)
Throwing Star Barrage (red) are thrown in a fan formation.
If you are too far away from your target, you can visually see the stars missing the target.
Dark Lordโs Omen
Normally used with burst and do not need to trigger the early explosion.
However, there are a few scenarios to trigger to explode early for extra damage: โ If you know the boss will leave early such as Lucid is about to disappear in p2 โ To finish off the current phase so you can save throw blasting tags/charms for the next phase โ Seren if you think she will dash away โ HLimbo or HBaldrix min clear parties
Venom Burst
If you search for โVenom Burstโ on the NL Discord, you will see a lot of negative comments. The general consensus is that Venom Burst is not a worthwhile investment. In fact, it isnโt even listed in the Node Priority. However, as a NL main, there are some use cases.
1. Passive: When you have spare node slots (ex. at 260), the Venom Burst skill node should always be equipped for the passive effect. You do not need to use the active effect.
2. Active: To hit bosses when they are invulnerable due to disappearing. See Sontoโs video for a great explanation on this use case Maplestory - Venom Burst (1:23 - 2:17)
3. Active: Assisting in full clearing maps
For an example of full clearing with Venom Burst on NL, see this video. In it, you can see me struggling to full clear even while using Sol Janus Dusk. Venom Burst is particularly useful in this training rotation since Showdown cannot hit the mobs below me. Keep in mind, this is just an example. In actuality, it would be best to use a lazier rotation where you one shot with just Sol Janus Dusk (+ Showdown if needed).

Maplescouter Hexa Efficiency You can use maplescouter to input your current hexa and see what is next. Data and screenshots in this section were last updated on 11/24/25.
When maplescouter shows hexa stat, it is only referring to Hexa Stat 3. Maplescouter already assumes that you have leveled Hexa Stat 1 and 2 and therefore does not include it in the hexa efficiency order.
Itโs hard to say exactly when you should level Hexa Stat 1 and 2. A general recommendation is to max both Hexa Stat 1 and 2 after Hexa Quad Star and Hexa Assassinโs Mark are level 9 since going to level 10 quad and mark is very expensive.

Sol Janus
Sol Janus: Dusk
Having level 1 Sol Janus and using Dusk mode will allow for very simple rotations or even stationary showdown farming in a lot of maps. I personally like to level Sol Janus as my first hexa skill since Dusk helps so much with farming. Even better, Dark Flare triggers Dusk (but not Dawn). It is optimal to have a Dark Flare that takes more than 3 hits to kill mobs so that a second proc of Dusk can be guaranteed even if there are no mobs directly around you to hit with Showdown.
Lvl 01: 9 mobs Lvl 15: 10 mobs Lvl 30: 11 mobs
Sol Janus: Dawn In my opinion, Dawn is best if you are a semi-active farmer or are using Frenzy. For reboot and early NL grinding, level 1 Dusk is sufficient.
Lvl 01: 1 ring Lvl 10: 2 rings Lvl 20: 3 rings

Hexa Stats
Itโs hard to say exactly when you should level Hexa Stat 1 and 2. A general recommendation is to max both Hexa Stat 1 and 2 after Hexa Quad Star and Hexa Assassinโs Mark are level 9 since going to level 10 quad and mark is very expensive.
For each hexa stat core, it is recommended to get to level 20 and stay there since the cost of rerolling is high. In general, HEXA Stat configurations are about .5 FD from each other, so there are no "bad" HEXA stats. "Good" HEXA Stats either have very high primary stat (for an overall larger stat boost) or a very low one (for a higher damage/frag efficiency).

3 Crit Dmg Attack Stat
You can use Maplescouters โBoss Setting Optimizationโ for Hexa Stats.
Also see HEXA Matrix. Alternatively, I created Hexa Stat Efficiency that you can use with maplescouter to see the final damage % that you gain from the various stat combinations.
Origin: Life and Death
It takes about 3.5 seconds from when Origin starts to when you can use another skill
Death Star
Good damage but also useful for procing throw blasting charms/stacks faster.
Death Star is prepped before burst so that Hexa Death Star can be used immediately after Origin to trigger additional throw blasting tags and ensure that all throw blasting tags are used inside of RoR. In my testing, Hexa Death Star causes 7 total attacks (1 regular and 6 annihilate attacks) that triggers around 20 of the total 46 throw blasting tags.
If possible, use Hexa Death Star during Fatal proc.
Sudden Raid
Only useful if you are out of range of the boss and sudden raid is the only way to hit the boss.

The poison cloud also inflicts damage proportional to health, and the aura's duration is not reset. The poison cloud disappears when the aura's duration ends.

Casual's Guide To The Legion Artifact System : MapleStory Reboot/Heroic Guide MapleStory Legion Artifact FULL GUIDE The Digital Crowns Legion Artifact Guide DigitalTQ Legion Artifact Guide
Legion Artifacts work similarly to boost nodes; each artifact can boost 3 stats, and each stat needs to be boosted 2 times. As there are 16 different stats total and 9 artifact slots, you will eventually be able to max 13 stats with one half boosted. The remaining stats are fairly useless and can be safely ignored.
However, unlocking all Artifact slots takes a long time, as Artifact XP is gained from weekly missions and one-time rewards. Therefore, prioritizing artifacts as shown below can get you the largest increases earlier, though the placement of certain stats like EXP/Meso/Drop is up to personal preference.
Note that Status Resistance is a very marginal stat and can be swapped out for Final Attack-Type damage to help other classes that you play. Newer players may want to prioritize Critical Rate / IED / Damage as their first two artifacts instead, to shore up an early lack of said stats.
Some tools: โ [Maplestory] Legion Artifact โ Legion Artifact
Optimal Artifacts
Legion artifact heavily depends on which characters you play. I have 8 artifacts and my stats look like below

Level Advantage
It is recommended to be in a map where you are 0 to 1 levels above or below the monsterโs level for a +20% experience modifier from level advantage. โ 0 to 1 levels above or below monster's level: +20% โ 2 to 4 levels above or below monster's level: +10% โ 5 to 9 levels above or below monster's level: +5%
Rotations
Work on your rotation and watch other peopleโs rotations on youtube to min max mob kill count. However, this game is a marathon, so in the end, pick the rotation and kill count that will allow you to farm for the most hours without pulling your hair out. Make use of https://maplemaps.net/ to craft rotations in maps with high base spawn. Also see Training Maps for premade rotations.
General Guideline
Train in high level maps (Level Advantage) with high mob count. To maximize kills per hour, ensure you have:
Dark Flare 1hko (or 3hko once you start using Sol Janus: Dusk)
Assassinโs Mark at least 2hko
Having level 1 Sol Janus and using Dusk Mode will allow for very simple rotations or even stationary showdown farming in a lot of maps.
Dark Flare will proc Sol Janus: Dusk. Therefore, it is optimal to have a Dark Flare that takes more than 3 hits to kill mobs, so that a second proc of Dusk can be guaranteed even if there are no mobs directly around you to hit with Showdown.
When lazy farming, one thing I like to do is make sure that Dusk does not overlap with Dark Flare so that DF gets as many procs as possible. Your mileage will of course vary
based on how fast your DF kills. The image below is also a good example of only needing to attack every 60 seconds but losing a few mobs in map coverage. Itโs up to you on how active or lazy you want to grind.

Normal vs HEXA Score
Normal score is your score when 6th job hexa skills are all maxed. Hexa score takes into account your score based on your current hexa levels.
Hexa Final Damage Efficiency
Additional Spec Simulation
On maplescouter, you can simulate FD gain from upgraded hexa skills. Below are my current hexa skill levels.
You can see below that when I simulate mastery 3 and 4 going from level 0 to 15 I gain ~11% FD.
Level 1 Efficiency
If you hover over a specific skill in hexa efficiency you can see the damage efficiency.
If we look at maplescouterโs hexa efficiency order we see that it is extremely efficient to focus on Masteryโs well before any Boost or Origin skills.
Here is a chart to show just how much more efficient Masteryโs are at level 1 compared to others.
Efficiency at level 1
Mastery 143.704 %
Mastery 64.769 %
Mastery 56.343 %
Mastery 32.546
Boost 25.833 %
Boost 24.815 %
Boost 12.454 %
Skill 10.185 % (this is actually for level 2, not level 1)
Boost 9.444 %
Hexa Checkpoints I thought it would be useful to see how much FD % you can at various fragment and sol erda costs. The below chart does this with example FD % gain on my Night Lordโs maplescouter if I followed the suggested Hexa Efficiency as of 07/15/2025. You can see that it becomes less efficient in terms of fragment cost as you level hexa further and further.
FD % FD % per Frag 301 18 13.731% .045617% 3 4 2 1 1 0 0 0 0
1,001 54 25.048% .025022% (^9 9 8 3 1 1 0 1 1) 1,497 77 29.459% .0196786% (^9 14 9 6 2 1 1 1 1) 2,115 101 33.915% .0160354% (^14 17 9 6 4 1 1 1 1) 2,519 129 36.479% .0144815% (^16 19 9 9 5 2 1 1 2) Calculations above are based on a combination of maplescouterโs Hexa Efficiency and Additional Spec Simulation and do not take into account hexa stat. Below is an example of how I calculated the cost of 301 Frags and 18 Sol Erda giving an FD % gain of
13.731%.
Other Final Damage Thoughts
I recommend you skip this section, itโs not for everyone. Use maplescouterโs Hexa Efficiency to choose your leveling order, not this section. If you keep on reading, good luck.๐
The following numbers were generated using maplescouterโs additional spec simulation on my Night Lord. Your FD gain will not be the same. Itโs also important to keep in mind that maplescouter does not calculate hexa skills linearly. For example, if I enter quad star, assassinโs mark, and dark flare individually and add up their FD gains I do not get the same result as if I calculate them all together.
2.080 + 2.158 + 5.172 = 9.41 โ 9.805
With that said, the chart at the end of this section is NOT meant to be used when deciding how to level hexa. If anything, itโs very inaccurate since the FD gain for each skill was calculated as if every other skill was zero. If you really want to know your FD gain then you should use the maplescouter additional spec simulation yourself. I made this grid to clearly show how some hexa skills are better than others and visualize the difference between skill level checkpoints. To better show how you should NOT dig too deep into these numbers , know that the cumulative level 30 FD % gain on scouter for maxed hexa skills is 87.863% but my grid of isolated skills is only 79.195%. Regardless, I still think the grid is still a fun experiment.
Again, use maplescouterโs Hexa Efficiency to choose your leveling order, not this grid. Below, you can see the isolated gain from each skill (only leveling that skill and every other hexa skill is level zero). Itโs not very realistic but it's still useful. For example, Death Star is a 1.190% FD gain at level 1 and only a 3.974% FD gain at level 30. Compared to the rest of the skills, Death Star by itself seems to have a low FD % gain.

Appendix Should I play Night Lord?
THIS SECTION IS OUTDATED. SEE NIGHT LORD BOSS MULES. Well, it depends. Are you going to main Night Lord or play it as a bossing mule?
Night Lord Boss mule? Just donโt. Itโs not just me, even in the pre-Destiny survey, 60% of NL mains voted against this. Read Why play NL? for more details. TLDR: NL requires a lot of funding. Otherwise, you get avg/below avg damage with none of the survivability skills other classes have.
Why play NL? The strongest aspect of the Night Lord is our burst. Even Wonky admitted that Night Lord class is made to be a Glass Cannon (itโs ok if you donโt understand Korean. Translation: He said Night Lord who doesnโt do damage is useless ).
So, what makes NL so strong? Itโs combination of our weapon multiplier (x1.75) and class design that trades off survivability for a huge burst of damage in a burst meta game.
NL doesnโt have built in healing, damage reduction, party buffs, etc. In return, we get the highest burst ratio in the game ( ~460% dps on burst / dps off burst with just self buffs). Stacked with other party burst buffs like Bishopโs Benediction, Paladinโs sacro, Kannaโs Domain, etc, NL has the highest burst potential in the game by a long shot.
But, to reach this point, you have to make most of the weapon multiplier by going for 21 or 22 and get a Ring of Restraint.
So, no. Donโt make a NL boss mule. Play the class if you are maining it.
Appendix Mu Gong Soul
How do I get the Mu Gong soul? You can buy 2 Mu Gong soul shards per week from the Dojo shop. They are 6,000 pts each for 12,000 pts per week. You will need 10 soul shards to make 1 soul. To get level 2 Mu Gong soul skill, you will need 8 unique souls in the Soul Collector.
On average, it will take ~91.6 weeks or 1.76 year to get a lvl 2 soul, so the recommendation is to start as early as possible even if you donโt plan to use the Mu Gong soul. This way, you will have the option to swap in future when/if you really want to min max.

Appendix Rolling Buff Skill Duration +38% Inner
Ability
The most efficient strategy for rolling and optimizing your inner ability is to do the following:
1. Roll for 38% buff duration on the 2nd or 3rd line using either honor or circulators.
2. Lock the 38% buff duration and roll for 7/8% abnormal third line (or your desired 3rd line).
3. Use chaos/black circulators to max out your 2nd and 3rd lines. As this may take a while, you will likely also have a boss damage first line while youโre optimizing these lines.
4. Lock 2nd and 3rd lines and roll for 20% boss first line rerolling manually. If you get low on honor, just sit on any boss until the next event.
Note : Buff Duration is the rarest inner ability to get on the second/third line, which is why it is targeted first. This way you can spend less honor looking for the last two lines. If you do not play reboot, rolling with circulators can get very expensive, so you might want to roll exclusively with honor, outside event-given circulators.
IDEAL BOSSING USE IF BUFF DURATION >50%
ALTERNATE BOSSING USE IF BUFF DURATION <50%
Line 1 Boss Damage +20%^ Boss Damage +20%
Line 2 Weapon ATT +21^ Buff^ Skill Duration +38%

Appendix Inner Ability
Detailed Instructions (Reboot)
1. Reroll with honor experience until Unique Potential
2. Reroll with honor experience or Miracle Circulator until Legendary
3. Miracle Circulator until perfect Unique line on 2nd or 3rd line โ Miracle Circulator always gives you the perfect/maximum value per line โ Roll for Weapon ATT +21 or +8% damage when attacking targets inflicted with Abnormal Status
4. Wait for 50% off Inner Ability Sunny Sunday
5. Lock perfect Unique line and roll for perfect other line. Note that it is usually more cost effective to lock your first perfect Unique line and roll for the 2nd/3rd line and do the 1st line of Boss Damage last. This is because the top line will always be Legendary but the 2nd and 3rd lines may be either Unique or Epic.
6. Lock both perfect lines and roll for third line
Note : You may also use Chaos or Black Circulators. See a video explanation here. Chaos Circulator : Keeps tiers and rerolls values Black Circulator : Keeps tiers, rerolls values, and lets you decide to keep the before or after
Appendix Manual Burst
Below is our 3 minute burst before skill sequence was introduced. Iโve left it here if I want to reference it in the future.

Appendix 3 Minute Culvert
Culvert (V1A)
A good way to tell when throw blasting is about to hit 60 seconds is to use buff favorites:
Too early (^) before the shadowright hits above 68 Too slow
Culvert (V1B)
From Rama on the NL Discord
Culvert (V2) Crisis HM While there is an uber optimal rotation using 5 oz rings as seen in this video, it is up to you whether you want to go for it, those optional steps to do so are listed in BLUE below. Note that you should be liberated or have a Krr ring. There are many ways to set up Crisis HM, this is just one method.
The rings you need to use the strategy below are:
โ Crisis HM 4
โ Health Cut (any level)
โ Limit (any level the flat health cost scales with level)
Alternate timings if youโre using a CD hat are also below in RED.
Continuous 4 is also a viable entry ring, setting it up is much simpler now that there is a dummy in the room. Basic attack the dummy approximately 3 seconds before entering.
Preparation before entering Culvert
Legion Grid โ โ^ Level 200 Mercedes forEnsure that you do not have Aran or Evan legion blocks in your grid^ Skill Cooldown -5%
Buffs
โ Decents: Make sure your pets havenโt just used your decents so they can be used when you enter the waiting room โ External Buffs: Organize in inventory for faster buffing
Potions
โ Ensure that you have regular mana potions โ If you use auto HP/MP, ensure that you do not have potions in your auto MP slot. You can leave your auto HP slotted on but for it to work, you will have to be iframed until you activate Crisis HM. If you take a โmissโ while your HP is under your autopot threshold, you will still drink a potion.
Preparation while inside the 2-minute waiting room
Marks and Familiars
Use these first so you donโt forget later
Assassinโs Marks
Summon Familiars
Throw Blasting (^) Pop Throw Blasting (The 90s duration will leave you 60s to buff up) External Buffs Use^ External Buffs Health Cut Ring, Limit Ring, MP Potions Use your Health Cut and your Limit ring, you want to be between 25% and 30% HP. Use mana potions until you have about 3500-4000 MP. Start casting frailty curse to stack and maintain Ark link. Your goal is to be at approximately 3000 MP when you enter. Epic Adventurer When throw blasting reaches 60s, use^ EA and^ MG Fatal Strike Punch the air at 35s (+ CD hat) for fatal strike. Make sure you face left, do not hit the dummy in the waiting room as it will waste throw blasting stacks Enter Enter the altar when throw blasting reaches 25s (+ CD hat) How to burst while inside the Boss room On Entry (^) Dark Flare and Frailty Curse Gene iframe (^) Use gene iframe before the first attack from the boss Normal Attack Attack the boss little by little until it does not instantly die anymore Between stages 2 and 5, use Erda Nova Bind as this costs 15% hp. Your hp will now be between 10% and 15% and Crisis HM will activate once you use last resort
Mini Burst
AB Link and Last Resort buffs
Second Oz Ring
Shurikane and Omen
Waiting (^) Normal Attack until 81s 81s left Frailty Curse If not using Cont4, swap to RoR after fatal ends 61s left (^) Origin 55s left (^) Seren and Will 51s left (^) Spread Throw EA MG 41s left (^) Frailty Curse 31s left (^) Shadow Walker 20s left (^) Throw Blasting should be coming off CD Full Burst (^) Pop everything and full burst with Ror3/4 in the last ~16s Note : GMS buffs can be extended by server lag. Notably Fatal Strike, with a duration of 2s normally, often can be extended to 4s or more. Other skills can also be extended similarly. Play with the timings above and with different channels if you like minmaxing.
Culvert (V3) Crisis HM
From 04/29/2024 Discord Pin and modified on 12/03 by me for Goddessโs Blessing changes 2.5k MP on entry Level of Limit/Health cut ring doesn't matter, only Crisis HM3/4
