Intro
Beastmaster (aka Wolf bow) is a very easy-to-play, very F2P friendly class in Blue Protocol Star Resonance. This playstyle mostly involves doing damage using your wolf pet. This is one of the most default-recommended DPS classes for new beginner players.
The overall concept is to maximize wolf-damaging outputs by managing Photon stacks, Torrent stacks, and pet summons (bear or bird) to optimize your damage during bursts, with a heavy emphasis on fast, repeatable rotations that work well even without investment in gear. The guide below outlines a practical, largely F2P approach that emphasizes reliable damage and predictable outcomes through rotation, gear choices, stats priorities, and Imagine Paths.
Pros and Cons
PROS:
- WOLFBOW H GOD (one of the best auto-battle class in the game)
- Low investment required (wolf has guaranteed crit), good for F2P
CONS:
- Scale poorly with stat late game (not suitable for P2W players)
- RNG damage (50/50 bird summon = troll dmg, bear summon = pog)
Skill
Default skill setup:
Basic Attack (Left click)
- Skill Book Advance Priority: 1 (highest)
- Filler skill, leveling this skill also increases your wolf attack, hence the highest priority
- If you care about DPS you should just level this to level 6 first before anything
Storm Arrow (1)
- Skill Book Advance Priority: 4
- This is the bread and butter for Wolfbow; casting this skill out of Photon will increase the Photon gauge, stacked up to 2 times
- During Photon, this skill can stack up to 5 times
- During Focus, the skill CD of this skill is reduced by 50%
- This contributes to about 8% of total damage
Torrent (2)
- Skill Book Advance Priority: don’t level this
- Cast this during Photon to temporarily pause the consumption and restore a little bit
- For each second in the Photon state, Torrent will gain a stack
- At 30 stacks, Torrent turns into Enhanced Torrent, casting it instantly lets you get 120 Photon stacks
Arrow Rain (3)
- Skill Book Advance Priority: don’t level this
- Casting this automatically gives 40 Photon Stacks
- Casting this during Photon causes the wolf to do tailsweep instead
- Only cast this during Photon if you need Torrent stack or AOE damage
Wild Call (4)
- Skill Book Advance Priority: 2
- Casting this summons an additional red wolf
- Casting this RNG summons a Bear or Bird
- If you summoned a Bird your DPS is cooked
- If you summoned Bear your DPS will go way higher
- THIS is the main RNG with wolfbow damage
Focus (5)
- Skill Book Advance Priority: 3
- Casting this enter Focus, your Photon bar will have a yellow outline
- Increase haste and reduce Storm Arrow CD by 50%
Deter Shot (5)
- Make your teammate immune to physical damage for the next 5 seconds
- Take this in EXTREME end-game Dungeon (N19+)
- Replace Focus when needed, stack up to 2 times
Ult (5)
- Advance Priority: don’t level this
- Has some minor grouping and applies vulnerability to enemies
- Don’t cast this unless you need to. Long animation = DPS loss
- Can iframe
Bulleyes is WAY more important than other skills, consider pumping it to 6 ASAP.

Class Resources
Photon, when at 120 stacks, allows Storm Arrow to stack up to 5 times. Casting your first Storm Arrow enters Photon mode, draining Photon stacks until 0.
Torrent Stack: For each second in Photon, gain 1 Torrent stack; at 30 stacks, replace Torrent with Enhance Torrent.
Photon and Torrent Stack Mechanics
- Photon 120 stacks enable Storm Arrow to stack up to 5 times; casting Storm Arrow enters Photon mode, draining Photon stacks to 0 over time.
- For each second in Photon, you gain 1 Torrent stack; at 30 stacks, Torrent upgrades to Enhance Torrent, which instantly yields 120 Photon stacks when cast.
WOLF BOW ROTATION
For Casual and Beginning, I HIGHLY recommend just using H for auto Battle, to save IQ and hand fatigue.
Semi Auto Rotation
- Put all skills on auto except Torrent and Rain, then follow these rules:
- Arrow Rain when not in Photon
- Torrent when in Photon and under 70 stacks
- If you can build 30 Torrent stacks without using Torrent, you can skip the above
Non-Auto Wolfbow Rotation (13-19-30-6-17)
Rotation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSMqhb4WDMk&feature=youtu.be
This is the 13 19 30 6 17 rotation (torrent stack).
- Start with 120/120 Photon, 30 Torrent
- Summon Imagine using ZX
- Cast Focus, Wildcall,
- Spam Storm Arrow
- Once Photon hits 0, cast Enhance Torrent
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon is ~80, then cast Rain
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon ~40, then cast Torrent
- Wild Call (Make sure to cast Torrent before Wild Call and hope you don’t get Bird)
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon ends
- End this step with 13 Torrent stacks
- Storm Arrow and Rain Arrow off CD until max Photon
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon ends
- End this step with 19 Torrent stacks
- Cast Focus
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon is ~60-70, then cast Rain and Torrent
- Wild Call (Cast Torrent first, avoid Bird)
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon ends
- Enhance Torrent and Spam Storm Arrow until Photon runs out
- End step with 6 Torrent stacks. Repeat rotation from 6 stacks and Wild Call when off CD
[REPEAT START]
- End step with 6 Torrent stacks; regen to 6 and repeat
- Storm Arrow and Rain Arrow off CD until max Photon
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon ends
- When max Torrent reached, do not enter Photon with Storm Arrow; spam normal until Torrent CD is less than 5 seconds; you can use Ult here
- Summon Imagine using ZX if off CD
- Focus
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon is ~60-70, then Rain and Torrent
- Wild Call (Torrent before Wild Call)
- Spam Storm Arrow until Photon Ends
- Enhance Torrent and Spam Storm Arrow until Photon ends
- End step with 6 Torrent stacks. Start rotation again; Wild Call whenever off CD
[REPEAT END]
If you get stuck at 29 Torrent stacks, one of the following happened:
- You messed up
- Server lag
- You got Bird early and it shortened your Torrent
To avoid 29 Torrent stacks, you can cast an additional Rain Arrow in Photon if timing feels off.
Why This Specific Rotation
When you have Photon Reforge, you will fire an extra Light Seeker Arrow for each Companion on the field. Your goal is to line up all 4 Good Boy during your burst so they can all benefit from your buff.
White = Default
Red = Wild Call
Blue = Talent
Yellow = Phantom Wolf
Using non-auto rotation has the potential to do 10% more damage if you line up every cooldown exactly, due to Blue Wolf spawning every 40 seconds or so. I recommend auto for practical play; precise manual timing is easy to miss during actual fights.
Gear and Stats
Get Attack Speed to 46%. This usually comes from a 6% module + 2% from purple lines × the number of purple lines you have + 3% built-in + haste (1% haste ≈ 1% attack speed).
DO NOT chase higher haste, as haste decreases Torrent cast time, which can actually reduce Torrent stacks because you cast faster.
Flat Attack Speed generally outperforms haste in late game due to diminishing returns.
Focus provides 20% haste, and Eagle provides 30%; you can only have a certain amount without diminishing returns.
Stat Priorities
- Crit: Useless for the Wolf itself since the pet guarantees crit; Crit Dmg is still useful when derived from Muku/ Modules.
- Haste: Not useless; increases cast speed and can improve Torrent DPS, but avoid inflating haste to the point where you lose Torrent stacks due to too-fast casts.
- Luck: Not useless, but not great.
- Mastery: 1% Mastery buff Wolf Damage by ~2.75%; many players already have a lot of pet damage from Talent; this stat is still important early on.
- Versatility: Overall damage multiplier; probably the most important stat late game, often more impactful than Mastery.
Build Mastery and Versatility in a 1:3 to 1:2 ratio, leaning toward Mastery early, then increasing Versatility later.
Purple Stat and Gear Chart (CN inspiration)
- Purple Stat main stat vs secondary stats table shown; general guidance is to prioritize Mastery and Versatility with Attack Speed to hit 46% first; then target Boss Damage or Range Damage where possible.
Gear Items and Effects (high level summary)
- Weapon Lv 90/100: 8% range damage Mastery Haste N/A
- Helm Raid Gear 4pc Set Effect: Mastery Haste Mastery
- Chest Raid Gear 4pc Set Effect: Mastery Haste Versatility
- Boots, Gloves, Left Bracelet, Right Bracelet, Neck, Earring, Ring, Charm: various allocations of Mastery, Haste, Versatility, and Attack Speed per the chart; note this is a general guideline and depends on RNG and gear availability.
Raid gear exchange order: Left bracelet > Right Bracelet > Chest > Helm
Gems: Emerald - Agility (Mastery) only
Consumable (double buff): See Imagine Path section for details.
Gems and Consumables
- Emerald gem: Agility (Mastery) only
- Double buff consumables: Two items with combined effects that boost a wide suite of stats.
Imagine Paths and BIS (F2P)
Muku and Bandit Scout Paths
- The recommended Imagine Path progression begins with Muku Scout 0 + Bandit Scout 0 or Muku Scout 0 + Muku Chief 0.
- Muku Scout 3 + Muku Chief 0
- Muku Scout 5 + Muku Chief 0 (Muku Chief 0 can be better than Bandit Scout 5 in short fights due to double casts)
- Muku Scout 5 + Bandit Scout 5 (Realistic F2P breakpoint)
- Muku Scout 5 + Muku Chief 1 (Muku Chief rank 1 is roughly equal or better than Bandit Scout 5 due to passive Crit Dmg)
- Muku Scout 5 + Muku Chief 3 (long term goal; lower cooldowns)
- Muku Scout 5 + Muku Chief 5 (P2W goal / End of S1 goal)
Why is Muku Chief 0 potentially better than Bandit Scout 5?
- Muku Chief has 2 charges with a 90s cooldown; in a 3-minute fight you can cast 4 times (start, second focus at 45s, third Focus at 90s, fourth at 180s).
- Bandit Scout 5 at 80s cooldown allows only 3 casts (0s, ~80s, ~160s).
- As a result, Muku overtakes Bandit Scout 5 in short fights.
Realistic BIS (F2P) guideline:
- Muku Scout 5, Bandit Scout 5, work on Muku Scout 5 first after getting 1 of each copy.
- Long-term Goal: Muku Chief 3+, Muku Scout 5.
- Only replace Bandit Scout 5 with Muku Chief after getting it to rank 3.
Before the late game (level 60 gear), the Spider Crab at Rank 3+ can be used instead of the Muku Scout Leader 5 (but get Muku Chief to Rank 5 first).
The crab is especially good in the early game because it gives a lot of Mastery. However, the crab suffers from diminishing returns in Mastery and its damage is diluted compared to versatile stats like Versatility or Attack Speed. If you really were to swipe, you could swap for the crab early game and keep it, but value declines late game; focus on more Versatility later instead of Mastery. Tier 5 Crab at end-game can lose to Tier 5 Muku Scout, depending on the situation.
Season 2 Imagine Path:
The crab is kind of good again at S2 due to stat squish; ALL S2 stuff is not finalized. New S2 BIS = Muku Chief 5+ Muku Scout 5; Muku Chief 5 + Crab 5; crab can be used again at level 120 due to stat squish; Mastery -> elemental damage conversion might fall off later but is still viable.
Season 2 BIS details:
- Muku Chief 5+ Muku Scout 5
- Muku Chief 5 + Crab 5
- Muku Chief 5 + Fox 5; Boyce 5 are other alternatives with small margins in early math.
Bottom line is that Muku is safe and flexible for BIS progression. The Crab is an option in early and mid-game but loses value late due to diminishing returns on Mastery.
Additional pathing details (Season 2 and BIS)
- A few notes about Season 2 BIS combinations and their relative performance, with emphasis on Mastery vs Versatility trade-offs and early-game power.
Realistic BIS (F2P) specifics
- For F2P players, a realistic BIS sequence begins with Muku Scout 5 + Bandit Scout 5, then progress toward Muku Scout 5 + Muku Chief 5, depending on drop rates and availability.
- Long-term BIS emphasizes Muku Chief 3+ with Muku Scout 5 as a strong end-state.
Modules
- Attack Speed 6% (first priority)
- Crit Dmg 6% (second priority)
- Always go for Attack Speed and Crit Dmg first
- Other modules (optional): Agile (third best), Dex Increase, Elite Damage or damage stack
- Do NOT ever take Cast Speed
Season 2 BIS (summary)
- Season 2 BIS focuses on balancing Mastery vs Versatility and the pet-damage nature of Wolf Bow.
- The Season 2 BIS selections often favor Muku Chief 5 + Muku Scout 5, with considerations for Crab and Fox as situational options.
