Class Overview
DISCLAIMER: ALL TRANSLATIONS ARE NOT OFFICIAL THEY WILL LIKELY BE INCORRECT.
Mo Xuan is a combo class that takes some time to get used to, but is not as difficult as most other combo classes like Cadena, Blaster, Evan, etc. It is a three minute class with one minute mini bursts. He belongs to the Jianghu faction and as such, only shares a cash shop inventory with Lynn. His playstyle revolves around using a combination of Heaven, Earth and Divine skills to make short combos. While it’s hard to say exactly where the class will stand in GMS, it is considered a strong class in TMS.
Mo Xuan is currently a 3-minute class. While we don’t know if TMS or GMS will adjust him to a 2-minute cycle like all other KMS classes, it’s safe to assume that he eventually will be.
Mo Xuan provides a best-in-slot (BIS) legion piece, offering +6% Critical Damage at level 250.
His link skill, called “Vigor,” is also potentially BIS for many classes, granting +4% Boss Damage passively, scaling up to +16% at max stacks.
While it’s currently unknown whether this link skill will receive a level 3 version like Lynn’s, it’s safe to assume it likely won’t.
Support:
Mo Xuan has 2 primary support sources which are:
- Critical Damage: Grants 8% critical damage to all teammates around for 30 seconds. Using it while your is at max stacks (5), you will increase this further by another 2%. Allowing for 10% critical damage for your party for 30 seconds.
- Bind: will apply a stun to a target for 3 seconds, allowing you to cancel certain abilities at will. This cannot be used if the target was bound by it in the last 45 seconds, indicated by an icon under the target's HP bar with a countdown of this skill.
Note: This does work like Zero’s critical bind where it is a separate cooldown from normal bind and works the same.
Iframes and defensives:
Damage reduction
- Will grant you damage reduction when used, this damage reduction lowers each hit you take during its duration up to a cap. First hit you take is blocked at a 100% reduction. It lowers down over time being hit too much to 10% damage reduction, 15% damage reduction with the hyper passive for it!
Invincibility Frames
- Using will give you a ~4 second iframe on a 3 minute cooldown, while using will give you a ~2 second iframe on a 60 second cooldown.
- Despite it not being listed in the description, your bind is also a ~2 second iframe.
Super Armor
- Using grants you super armor during use, allowing you to not be knocked back when using your main bursting ability. But be warned, enemies can move around during it and make it miss so it's best to use it when an enemy is using something that keeps them still longer.
Stat Window
Inner Ability
Mo Xuan’s perfect inner ability setup is:
1st line: 20% Cooldown Skip
2nd line: 10% Boss Damage
3rd line: 38% buff duration/8% abnormal monster damage (both are fine).
This is because most of your combo skills have short cooldowns, with Chaotic Fists having a 60s cooldown that can be affected by CD Skip.
Attack Speed
Mo Xuan does not need attack speed inner to reach 10 attack speed:
Base (6), Class Booster (8), DSI (Decent Speed Infusion) and Green Pot (10).
As Mo Xuan has not been released in GMS yet, further testing needs to be done to see how much the extra attack speed will affect the class, however we don't believe it won’t change/add that much damage, similar to most other combo classes.
Critical Rate
Mo Xuan has a base critical rate of 55% which means you will not want critical rate in your inner ability.
To maximize your critical rate your setup will look like this
- Lynn’s link skill +10%
- Decent Sharp Eyes +10% (In bossing this will be replaced by Sayram’s Elixir)
- Legion Artifact at lvl 10 +20%
- Marksman and Night Lord lvl 200 Legion Blocks give 4% each at a total of 8%
Which adds up to a total value of 103% Critical Rate which means you will not have to place any legion pieces into critical rate.
Hyper Passives
You want to put a point in the following passives:
- Xuanshan Forms - Reinforce, 20% damage on your Xuan Mountain skills.
- Xuanshan Forms - Boss Rush, 20% boss damage on your Xuan Mountain skills.
- Divine Arts - Reinforce, 20% damage on your divine skills.
- Divine Arts - Effect Enhancement, Enhances the cooldown reduction of Divine Skill Cycle by 5%, and increases the final damage boost of Divine Skill Cycle by 5%.
- Qi Shield - Shield Power Enhancement, Reduces the efficiency loss of the shield when Protective Aura is triggered upon taking damage from 15% to 10%
Cooldown Hat
Mo Xuan is a cooldown hat class and wants as much cooldown reduction as you can get. It is used to reduce the cooldown of your divine skills, allowing you to use your combos more often.
For Heroic server you will most likely settle on -4 CD Hat as getting -5 or -6 is unrealistic. You want at least -3, as it will give you the most optimal cooldowns.
Oz Ring
Mo Xuan is a Continuous class for several reasons:
- Our burst sequence changes depending on whether we get cooldown skips or not, on for example
- The class is a 3 minute class with 60s mini bursts, meaning we’d have to triple ring swap between RoR/WJ/Totalling resulting in a lot of downtime during the swap
- In TMS cont is used even in parties, however this can be different in GMS due to the differences in gear between the two servers.
- With the upcoming nerfs to non continuous oz rings using continuous over RoR/WJ/Totalling may be even further incentivized.
V Matrix (Fifth Job)

Gameplay
Introduction to his skills
Most of Mo Xuan’s damaging skills are categorized into “Tian” or “Di” skills. You will need to combo these skills in different ways to maximize your damage. The combo system may be a bit difficult to understand purely from the skill descriptions, as such, I will do my best to explain how it works after going over the skills.
Xuan Mountain skills:
Xuanshan Arts [Tian]:
This is a two part skill. The first time you press it you will cast Xuanshan Strike [Tian]. If you press it again shortly after, you will cast Xuanshan Cross [Tian]
Whether the second punch goes up or not seems to be random and does not change anything about skill.
Xuanshan Arts [Di]:
Just like the skill before this, this is also a two part skill. The first time you press it you will cast Xuanshan Strike [Di]]. If you press it again shortly after, you will cast Xuanshan Cross [Di]
Also has two different animations for the second part, purely for flavor.

Hexa Priority:
Currently we do not have a Hexa Priority for Mo Xuan as nobody in TMS has bothered to make one and we have no hands on testing.
We will have a Hexa Priority for the final Guide.
Common skills:
As Mo Xuan shares the same class group as Lynn and is a pirate, it has quite a few Common Skills, which we will go through here..
Ring of Samsara is our first Common Skill, where you will be able to pick between 4 different buffs (explained in Power of Destiny’s explanation). The way you pick between these 4 buffs is by using an arrow key in one of the 4 directions after using the skill. This WILL lock you into the buff for 24 hours, so pick carefully.
Credit: Grandislibrary.com
Power of Destiny is the other skill to Ring of Samsara. Your go to buff from Power of Destiny will be Might which gives you +20% Damage and has a 90 second cooldown currently. (This may be changed in the future depending on how the change from 3 minute to 2 minute goes)
Credit: Grandislibrary.com
Maple World Goddess’s Blessing is our next and final common skill in the class group and being the most simple as it just increases your primary stat by 400% and gives 20% damage for 60 secs on a 2 minute cooldown.

Now it's time for the pirate common skills which are:
Overdrive is a relatively simple skill with a 28-second duration, during which it grants 80% attack power based on your weapon's attack. While the skill is on cooldown, you suffer a 15% attack power reduction. It has a 60-second cooldown, resulting in roughly 50% uptime.

Loaded Dice is our favorite anti gambling skill you have 2 primary choices one for mobbing and one for bossing those being #5 and #6
#5 is our bossing pick because it gives 20% Damage for the duration of the skill.
#6 is our mobbing choice because it gives 30% additional experience.

[Divine Power]: Successfully linking skills grants Divine Power, which lasts for a certain period and can stack up to 3 times. Each time Divine Power is obtained, the power of Mo Xuan is enhanced, increasing final damage.
When linking the appropriate skills and using the Divine Skill, the [Skill Link] effect is applied, and you can obtain up to 3 stacks of Divine Power.
The Divine Power you hold lasts for 45 seconds, increasing final damage by 3%.

Vigor of Xuan Mountain:
This is our story passive so you get it by doing the story.
Increases Final damage by 10%
Increases Crit Damage by 10%
Combo system explanation:
Performing combos in certain combinations will massively increase your damage. It is however important to separate the two ways of how to give a skill more final damage.
Number 1:
Executing a Divine Skill after the correct Xuan Mountain skill.
Xuan Mountain: Technique Unleashed [Heaven] and Xuan Mountain: Technique Unleashed [Earth]
are both two hit combos. Pressing them once puts you into First Style [Heaven] or First Style [Earth] respectively for a few seconds. Pressing them a second time puts you into Second Style [Heaven] or Second Style [Earth] respectively for a few seconds. This is indicated by the diamonds underneath your gauge. It also shows whether you are in heaven (天) or earth (地) mode.
Pay attention to the gauge in the gif.
Divine skills have a requirement of you being in the first/second style of heaven/earth. This is listed in their description, but you can also tell by looking at which divine skills get highlighted in your quickslots
If you use the divine skill while in the correct technique/style, that skill will gain an additional 50% or 100% fd.
Whether or not it gains 50% or 100% is listed in the description of each skill as well as the table below.
Number 2:
After casting a divine skill, your next divine skill will gain an additional 50% final damage or its cooldown will be reduced by 25%.
Whether you get the fd or cooldown reduction depends on the order you cast your divine skills.
Casting two divine skills of the same type will give the second divine skill the 25% cooldown reduction.
Casting two divine skills of the opposite type will give the second divine skill the 50% fd.
This stacks with the 50% or 100% final damage you get through using a Divine Skill while in the correct technique/style (number 1).
For example:
Casting into into will give 25% cd reduction and 100% final damage.
The reason being is that both the first and second divine skills are of the same type: heaven (天).
The 100% final damage is through being in Second Style [Heaven] before casting
In this sequence, if you replaced with the cooldown reduction of would be replaced with an additional 50% final damage.
The reason being is that the first and second divine skills are of the opposite type: first being earth (地) and the second being heaven (天).
After you have cast the second divine skill, the entire sequence will be reset. Here is an example gif:
To break down the sequence of this gif:
-> -> ->
You need to be in First Style [Heaven] in order to increase ’s final damage. In this case it’s 50% (listed in the description of the divine skill). In order to do that you cast once before casting
Then you use into
You need to be in First Style [Earth] in order to give more final damage. In this case that is 50%.
Because the divine skill (天) was heaven and is the opposite type, gains an additional 50% final damage on top of the 50% final damage it got from being in the correct style.
*Note: Ensure you are at max stacks of when bursting or entering a boss and about to burst by using when buffing up!
Combos:
Burst:
These are 2 separate ways of doing our big burst as we do not have hands on testing we are not sure which one is gonna deal more damage.
-> -> (Bind) ->
Note:
While this is a perfect Combo Sequence there will be variance everytime you burst due to cooldown skips happening.
Based on testing it seems can animation cancel That is why it’s there.
Most important 60s combo:
Another combo that uses your other 60s cd divine skill, but doesn’t deal as much damage:
/
Best combo during off-burst:
If only tornado kick cd skips in the previous combo and you have at least a -4 cd hat
This way you don’t waste the cd skip while not misaligning your other cooldowns
Combo to use when everything else is on cooldown as filler:
It is worth pointing out that you should not reverse this combo, as deals a lot more damage than so you want to give the bigger damage buff.
5 seconds for second part can do other things in the middle
Other combo:
This can be used when cd skips during off-burst. However, in general this combo is more so used for culvert/punch king, as roots you in place for a long time and can be quite hard to get off twice in a row without a bind and you need to make sure your next syncs up with and again.
Farming:
For mobbing, Mo Xuan is a rather simple but active class. For the most part, you will primarily be using for mobbing purposes, but you will want to have toggled on at all times, as it will clear stragglers left behind.
You can also weave in any of your longer cooldowns like:
Sol Janus
For Sol Janus, our afterimages will keep activating Sol Janus, and each time it activates, Sol Janus will also apply and so this will help to ease the mobbing grind on Mo Xuan.
Punch Farming
You can also punch farm with just and and activate Sol Janus Dusk. As said before the afterimages will keep proccing Sol Janus, so even when looting, it should not cause any problems.
But usually, the maps where this is possible are smaller and more flat, so not available in all areas.
Extra:
After using a divine skill, your gauge will light up showing you your next divine skill will be empowered, the description of the skill says this lasts 3 seconds, however, it actually lasts 4 seconds.
Pets:
Mo Xuan will want to use a setup of 2 auto buffs slots for bossing which are.
- Decent Sharp Eyes
- Decent Combat Orders
Mobbing specific
- Decent Holy Symbol
Abbreviations:
As there are A LOT of abbreviations used in this Guide we thought it would be fitting to have an explanation for a few of these.
In no particular order here are some of the explanations.
RoR (Ring of Restraint) is an oz ring.
WJ (Weapon Jump) is an oz ring.
FD (Final Damage) refers to the final multiplier in the damage calculation.
DSI (Decent Speed Infusion) is a 5th job passive effect that increases attack speed.
DCO (Decent Combat Orders) is a 5th job passive effect which increases all 4th job skills beyond their normal maximum by 1 level.
Xuan Mountain Skills and Gameplay Visuals
The document contains multiple visual references and describes the two-part nature of Xuanshan Arts and how second parts vary for flavor. It also explains the Skill Link effects on many Divine Arts and outlines cooldowns and targets. It includes references to a gauge mechanic indicating Heaven vs Earth states, and notes that Divine Skills require correct style to maximize final damage. The text emphasizes careful management of cooldowns and stacking of Divine Power to maximize bursts.
True Energy Skills and Soul Art
True Energy skills provide invulnerability windows and large burst windows. Soul Art abilities empower with invulnerability during certain skills and grant increased damage, with detailed cooldowns and stacking rules. The Opened Gate grants crits and increases damage substantially for a duration. Beneath Heaven increases attack count and makes attacks crit-based for a period. The descriptions include examples of spell interactions and the exact damage multipliers and cooldowns for each True Energy skill.
Movement and Secret Techniques
Movement Skills provide quick repositioning and dash capabilities. Secret Technique skills offer shields and disruption effects, with cooldowns and shield mechanics that scale with hits and incoming damage.
6th Job and Mastery Cores
The 6th job section describes Jianghu Dragon true energy sequences and the power progression across levels 10/20/30, including penetration and boss damage increases. Mastery core sections detail HEXA Xuanshan Arts and HEXA Divine Art: Howling Storm with exact numbers for damage multipliers and cooldowns. The guide notes the absence of a Hexa Priority for Mo Xuan on TMS due to lack of testing, with plans to add one in the final guide.
Hexa Priority
Currently we do not have a Hexa Priority for Mo Xuan as nobody in TMS has bothered to make one and we have no hands on testing. We will have a Hexa Priority for the final Guide.
Common Skills
As Mo Xuan shares the same class group as Lynn and is a pirate, it has quite a few Common Skills, which we will go through here..
Ring of Samsara is our first Common Skill, where you will be able to pick between 4 different buffs (explained in Power of Destiny’s explanation). The way you pick between these 4 buffs is by using an arrow key in one of the 4 directions after using the skill. This WILL lock you into the buff for 24 hours, so pick carefully.

Credit: Grandislibrary.com
