My name is ZeeBoub, a french brand enjoyer for 13 league in a row now, always playing brand, always min maxing the build to the limit.
I have been on the ladder of poe.ninja multiple times, you might know me from there. I have kinda changed the meta of how people build Storm Brand over the past leagues, people used to play it power charge stacking assassin…
Back in 3.15 I also challenged myself and reached 6k depths in delve (old delve) with Storm Brand, the only player in the league to reach 6k depth as Storm Brand, actually the only one playing SB in delve… The point was just to showcase how strong Storm Brand is.
In my opinion brands are the strongest skill in poe mechanically, 100% uptime damage, instant targeting enemy, brand range make the playstyle even better.

Act 1
We mule on a ranger to get Momentum support and we also look at vendors to see if we can find boots with movement speed or some linked item with the right colours before starting with the templar. Ranger regex: "b-.-b|b-b|nne|rint|o spe" Momentum will be linked with leap slam a bit later on the leveling part, providing us with better speed for leap slam.

We need : 2 wands (Goat's Horn, the ones with flat fire damage implicit at level 6)
Movement speed boots, doesn't really matter if you don't find any, we can vendor recipe later “Magic or Rare Boots with % increased Movement Speed explicit mod (or Normal rarity for adding lowest tier mod) + Orb of Augmentation + Quicksilver Flask”
We are going to use a dual wielding setup we need either two : White Axe ( Rusted Hatchet lvl1+ or Boarding Axe lvl11+) White sword ( Whalebone Rapier lvl 7+) any sword with 1.5 attack speed will do the job here We will replace the weapon with the slowest atck speed for a sceptre with 1.5 atck speed during the lvling to get the benefit from the implicit elemental damage. On socket we do want at least one R-G for leap slam + momentum, best will be R-G-G for faster attacks, rest can be red or blue on the other weapon its fine Keep those 2 weapons off hand. Heavy belt & jade amulet are needed for the attribute.

Gameplay:
From level 1 to 11 : You drop holy flame totems while running and throw rolling magma into packs once. For tough mobs, keep holy flame totem & Flame Wall up and supplement damage with rolling magma. You can use your weapon swap to leap slam around. If you don't enjoy using leap slam it's also fine, you don't have to. After act 3 we don't need to weapon swap anymore due to benchcrafted damage on weapons and weapon mastery.
Tips : FrostBlink get some reduced cooldown for how many monsters you hit with the skill, so if you pay attention and use it properly you get a low cooldown to go faster and use it more often during campaign

_Bandit kill ALL_ (can grab Kraityn for 8% movement speed, really good if you want to go fast and change it later)
2nd quicksilver from quest “The Great white beast” can be used for movement speed boots recipe if you have not found any yet (Normal Boots+Quicksilver Flask+Orb of Augmentation = 10% movement speed boots). You can also use both quicksilver and get movement speed boots later if you want. If you do the recipe, you can do it on boots with the right links on them (if you do the recipe dont forget to remove gem first !)

Tips: In the Vaal ruin you will encounter a corruption altar, I recommend using it on rings or amulets; they can become rare with mods. Careful if you use it on the amulet you can remove the dex implicit.

We need the flat fire recipe available in solaris temple level 2, in the backroom area near the waypoint. 15-26 added fire damage to spells cost 4 Orb of Transmutation
We are using this craft on the white melee weapon (should be your offhand setup) & we can keep them as main weapon setup now.

We don't need Holy flame totem & Flame wall anymore and you can buy & use Determination instead of herald, damage is enough by this point, no worries :)
I'm doing the side quest in the library. For the reward, I am taking Fire Penetration for a good future 5L. Also buying Faster Attacks for leap slam, Haste and Blood Rage.
I activate haste for clearing and whenever I go against a boss, I swap back to determination. Blood rage is good for attack speed (leap slam) & frenzy generation to go even faster (and do more damage). Since we are missing the second lab at this point of the campaign, blood rage will make you constantly lose life, which can be annoying for some people. If you do not enjoy blood rage life loss, you can wait until the second lab before using it (second lab is when we get giga life regen).
4L setup is going to be Armageddon brand + Elemental proliferation + Combustion + Cruelty
Automation can be bought by Clarissa to use with brand recall, careful on mana cost!
Gameplay:
Leap slam & frost blink around with armageddon brands up, use brand recall on huge packs, apply curse to bosses, exposure with wave of conviction then brand recall on top of them once all your brands are up for huge burst damage

First Lab : Sanctuary
Links : After killing both mini-bosses and unlocking the belly of the beast area (new gems available at the vendor doing so, namely Immolate and Hextouch), you can do the following setup:

If you don’t have enough ES for casting, you can do 1 aura + a 25% reservation skill like herald of thunder, arctic armour or vitality.

Gameplay:
Same gameplay as previously, keep brands up, brand recall on huge packs, but now you can apply exposure + curse at once with wave of conviction thanks to Hextouch support.

Target: Granite flask from quest reward
As soon as you complete the aura wheel (Sovereignty), you can add vitality or use 2 50% aura if it wasn't the case before. You might need to have a bit of mana left even with EB depending on your ES situation.
Gameplay: No change to previous act
Act 6
Target: Lily quest to be able to freely buy gems.
If you plan to heist : Start buying some lockpicking and demolition contracts, run lockpicking ones when you run out of fusings/chance to buy more contracts, buy chances with fusings at Bestel in act 6, go back to buy some contracts every level (or every time you remember). This will pay off in the long run.

Second lab : Pious Path
After getting our second lab sustaining Blood rage & energy shield cost is fixed thanks to life regen applying to energy shield (Pious Path). If you are planning on some early heist action, you can at this point (need second lab done). Don't forget to swap the filter and start using one for chaos recipe in zones above level 60.
When you reach the mana mastery for 12% reservation efficiency, you are normally able to add arctic armour & vitality lvl 1. Make sure to pay attention to your mana reservation and make sure to not level vitality too high.
Since 3.26 buffed the golem its worth investing into 3 passives to get a +1 golem and 80% effect of golem. A good 3L Summon Stone golem, Summon Flame Golem & Meat Shield Support
In heist you probably gonna find some essence of anguish. Those are good to use on your weapon to get higher flat fire to spell and you can also craft another mod on top.
Just keep chugging along

Third lab : Righteous Providence
No changes, grab Quartz flask from quest reward for phasing
Flasks should look like this: 1x Life, 1x Silver, 1x Quicksilver, 1x Granite, 1x Quartz Can probably roll for bleeding on life flask and half decent mods on the other flasks since maps are comin

You really don't have to do some heist if you don’t want to, going directly into map is also fine.
Heist is a good way to get early currency while using a chaos recipe tool. One example of such a tool is Chaos Recipe Enhancer, which scans designated stash tabs and modifies your item filter on the fly to highlight the pieces you are missing for the recipe. It is a bit of a pain to setup (and it is recommended to test it before the league start and get it working before league start) but it is very good on the first few days of the league, where purchasing power of chaos is high.
Upon getting your first Rogue's Marker drop(can drop act 6+), you can go to rogue harbour and buy lockpicking & demolition contracts. Vendor is reset every time you level up so look at vendor to buy relevant contracts! *You can convert your fusings into chance orb (and jewellers into fusings), thanks to vendors in act. If you run out of currency to buy contracts, you can start running your lockpicking contracts. These contracts will provide a lot of chance orb & fusing.
I would say there are two schools of early heist players:
- The ones who run only lockpicking & demolition contracts You should expect making about 200-250c doing this (here is a clip of the loot breakdown from testing) Estimated time taken in heist : ~2 hours
- The other option is to also run Perception, Counter-Thaumaturgy & Engineering on top of Lockpicking and Demolition contracts. You can expect making about 400-500c in 4-5 hours doing this. Those contracts are good to run, not as good as demolition or lockpicking, but still a great source of early chaos!
Reward from the different type of contracts : Lockpicking: Jewellery + Chaos + Chaos Demolition: Chaos + Chaos + Chaos + Chaos Engineering : Chaos + Unique + essence (for some reason u see way more chaos chest) Perception: Jewellery + Chaos + Stacked decks Counter: Jewellery + Chaos + gems
Heist gear is also an important part of this strategy. Really important modifier on Brooch is “ Heist Chests have a (8–9)% chance to Duplicate contained Basic Currency ” (item drop in area lvl60+), since we are dropping a lot of currency in heist. It is a really important modifier to get as soon as possible, as it acts as a loot multiplier! Personally, I will alt spam for this mod on the first Brooch I loot, it is well worth the alterations.
Good to mention that on other pieces of heist gear, you can roll some %Job speed to open door faster, (6–8)% reduced raising of Alert Level from opening Chests also decent, Players have (8–9)% increased Movement Speed while area is not in Lockdown always good to take as well.
It is worth using some orb of binding on white heist gear until you get some decent stats. Also you want to run one type of contract at the time so you can equip all the heist gear on the Rogue you're using. For example, if running 4 demolition contracts in a row, throw the rogue gear on Vinderi, etc.
In order to unlock vinderi (12% chance to dupe chest content) you need to run a contract deception/counter with Niles.
What I'm personally doing is I buy Lockpicking & Demolition before level 60 and after level 60 I buy Perception, Counter, Engineering , Lockpicking & Demolition.

💡 What is Penance
What is Penance Brand of Dissipation & how to scale it
Brands are a type of skill which create persistent spells that can be attached to an enemy. Your Brand attachment range will affect how far your brand can be attached to an enemy, it's one of the reasons for our clear & comfiness, having decent brand range. I talk a bit more about brand range in the section here.
Penance Brand of dissipation is a physical base spell which converts 50% of its physical damage to lightning, once attached it will pulse every 0.75 seconds stacking up stacks of energy which are adding more damage and aoe per stack, maximum stacks of energy on an enemy is 20.
Since Penance Brand base damage is Physical and then 50% gets converted to Lightning damage, to scale the Lightning damage better we will need to convert the other 50%. I will talk about various ways to convert later.
Duration is an important way to scale this version of Penance Brand, Penance Brand of Dissipation. We need time to reach the maximum of 20 stacks to get the full value of the gem.
Cast speed is also really important, Penance Brand activation scales with cast speed, this will help us reach the maximum stacks of Penance Brand faster. If the brand last for 3 seconds and we reach 20 stacks in 1.5 seconds, for the next 1.5 seconds it will stay attached to the target with 20 stacks and continuously deal damage for that duration.
💡 Defence & life in early stage of the
build
Defence & life in early stage of the build
Defence at the beginning is not my main focus at all but I also don't enjoy playing a build which dies on every single hit taken. Path of Exile’s defence for a lot of people is one tapping everything and not getting hit once, it's true and false at the same time.
I would say early on the focus will be on damage until you're comfy for everything and then spec into defence.
At the beginning your defence will be the safe brand playstyle, cast your brand far away from the dangerous mob/bosses and let your brand do the job. Freeze is also an underrated form of defence, and we get it from the call of the brotherhood/Hatred.
Ring is also important, try to get the veiled mod endurance charge on kill, it will work perfectly with cwdt immortal call.
You should expect having 4k life & 1k5 es, good sustain of your es & life via leech, regen and a armour flask in the early version of build and also being able to freeze in aoe.
Later on we will get tankier and have huge amounts of quality of life (after getting mageblood pretty much).
💡 Low life & Leech
How do we get Low Life in this build & activate the Pain attunement key stone (30% more spell damage)?
We are using Petrified Blood! This spell will make you low life even if you have more than 50% HP. For example, if you have petrified blood and over 50% of your life pool, it will make spells cost life so you can reach low life status faster. Spells stop costing life once life reaches 50% life and under. The only recovery mechanic that allows you to go over 50% is Life flask. This means we can leech or use life gain on hit and still keep the lowlife status. Petrified blood also converts a portion of hits taken to damage over time, as such, there is little loss in tankiness.
When you’re using petrified blood, make sure you have more than 50% of your life, reserving 49% of your life is perfect! But why? Perma leech !! The reason to reserve only 49%(or less) instead of 50% is because that extra 1% unreserved, that can never be filled with leech, provides us with a source of permanent leech once we start leeching (leeching usually stops once life reaches full, but in this case, it can't due to Petrified Blood). There are benefits to doing so, like enabling some modifiers that only work "while leeching" for example, and also as a source of already active mitigation against incoming damage.
💡 How to convert last physical part of
Penance
Physical to lightning support gem allows you to convert 50% of physical to lightning for linked active skill, and it also gives some physical as extra lightning damage. It is a really good choice if you don't have access to the other sources of conversion, the early & easy way to fix conversion on penance but it does require a gem slot and so there are better ways to convert later when you have more resources.
Lightning mastery can give you up to 40% convert phys to light
Gloves : You can bench craft a prefix on gloves to get up to 25% conversion, and the veiled version of this modifier goes up to 35%
Eater of world implicit for conversion can go up to 35%
Watcher eyes wrath mod can convert up to 40%
Glorious vanity timeless jewel can change notable and one of them can be 10% convert to light
💡 Forbidden flame/flesh

There are multiple decent options available to us :
- Conviction of Power : decent one, will provide you with 4 endurance & power charges. It opens us a slot on the medium cluster with effect of non-damaging ailments, since we don’t need the power charge generation from Stormstrider anymore. This means we can use another notable such as Overshock. The 4 permanent endurance charges will in turn give us extra physical & elemental damage reduction.
- Arcane Blessing : grants 20% more spell damage while you have arcane surge (and basically having arcane surge whenever we hit something with brands), 10% more damage per jewel is pretty decent if you want more damage. Those 20% can be scaled with arcane surge aura effects on tree too!
- Sign of Purpose : Gives us a short period where the brand deals 100% more damage (brand will get 100% more activation frequency on the last quarter of the duration). Hard to tell how much this provide but i would say something ~40% more dmg if ur in a bossing situation.
- Unwaring Crusade: Free Anger/Wrath/Hatred really strong to free up some reservation on ur gear/tree or can could use some defence aura.
- Unwavering Faith : 50% reservation efficiency of skills, 25% per jewel solid but not sure if i will ever play with those
- Searing of purity : Insane chaos mitigation 45% chaos taken as fire &

Timeless Jewel
Elegant hubris timeless jewel in the name of caspiro one. The key stone Supreme Ostentation ( Ignore Attribute Requirements ) easier to gear since no Attribute needed on gear also meaning easy access to tattoo, notable are also really interesting on this one, There is charge generation for frenzy/power/endu. It is worth taking a look, list of notable here Worth mentioning that you can use impossible escape in order to get more notable without travelling to the notable save us a lot of passive points.
Glorious vanity jewel in the name doryiani. The Key stone Corrupted soul (50% of non-chaos dmg taken bypasses energy shield. Gain 15% of maximum life as energy shield) really strong since inquisitor got huge regen of life & es. You can also get 10% phys convert to light on glorious vanity, can be interesting because lightning mastery or watcher mod provide both up 40% conversion.
Militant faith timeless jewel in the name of High templar dominus The Key stone Inner conviction (3%more spell dmg per power charges, cannot generates frenzy charges) can fit perfectly for a power charge stacking version for example. You can also use this jewel in the scion middle tree combined with the unnatural instinct jewel you can achieve 150+ devotion opening special notable such as “Immune ailment while affected by consecrated ground”! There is some other interesting one i let look the special notable you can get on poedb.
💡 Brand range & AOE
Quick talk on brand range & area of effect
Brand attachment is a stat that is really important to spec into, it is a big part of our clear and comfiness. Kinda hard to spec into early on since there are not that many ways to get some, you can get some on crafted suffixes or veiled mod on gloves and amulet, medium brand clusters can have some too.
Area of effect is also another important modifier to get for clearing since it will increase the size of our explody chest/flask explosions. Area of effect is not easy to get, we can have 10% aoe on the helmet with craft/veiled +lvl of aoe gem, with 2 point invest into Amplify you're able to achieve 30% area of effect which is a +3 base radius on explode !! doesn't seem big but will see a HUGE difference while mapping! We can get elevated culling which provides +25% inc aoe on gloves later on, which is also a big clear upgrade there. There are other sources of inc aoe, such as corrupted implicit on jewel/cluster, synthesis mod amulet.
In pob you can select explode in calc section and put your cursor on radius to see what is your radius and know how many %aoe you need to reach new breakpoints.

First Swap Penance Brand of Dissipation
I would recommend to keep playing armageddon brand until you are ready for the Uber lab. If you can, try to get some money to get the following setup rolling before swapping to Penance after 4th lab.
A good way to get early currency is doing heist contracts while using a chaos recipe tool. One example of such a tool is Chaos Recipe Enhancer, which scans designated stash tabs and modifies your item filter on the fly to highlight the pieces you are missing for the recipe. It is a bit of a pain to setup but it is very good on the first few days of the league, where the purchasing power of chaos is high.

Inpulsa’s broken heart (explosions and clear),
Jewel with corrupted blood with life and other stats if possible ( crit multi, damage, res, cast speed, even attributes) so we can remove 4 points on passive tree ( talking about the Asylum wheel & mastery).
Instead of 5 or 6 linking the Inpulsa, look for a Shaper influence helmet with either "socketed spells have +% critical strike chance" or “socketed spells are supported by hypothermia”. That way, you get a pseudo-5L helmet for a couple of chaos and save a lot of fusings by not linking Inpulsa.
Shaper helmet (skip 6L on inpulsa to reduce costs) -Socketed Spells have +2-3% to Critical Strike Chance at least -Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 16-18-20 Hypothermia -Open prefix (we wanna craft +1 socketed aoe gem)

If there is nothing on trade you can craft one doing some crit reforge harvest on ilvl84 shaper base (it's like an average of 1/30 to get +2 ⁄ 3 spell crit & any tier of hypo).
Weapons we can use wand, sceptre or even Rune dagger, make a good live search for them 5-50c for it. Stats we want +1all or +1all light or +1all phys, %spell dmg, cast speed, crit multiplier, crit chance for spells. On my trade research i’am forcing at least any +1gem (all/light/phys) & a good cast speed roll and than do a count with any of those stat, spell dmg, crit chance spell, crit multi, can use flat to spell too even if the scaling of flat to spell isn't the best on penance. So 2 mod weapons with +1 spell all/light/phys along with decent cast speed and you craft the other mod left. You are ending with a 5 mod item this way, which should carry you on your atlas completion!
Dual large & triple medium, we do want to be able to cast 2 brand at once it will provide a huge quality of life for our build. In order to get this, we need 3 remarkable medium nodes ( it gives 33% chance to create an additional brand when casting and as you will see in POB, we don't need the perfect cluster for it, a regular remarkable even without allocating the other notable will be fine early). Worth mentioning if your crafting those cluster make sure to buy them ilvl68+ and 4 passives. (otherwise notable will be on the wrong path for the jewel socket, loosing one passives points)
Since we need 3 mediums, we then need 2 large clusters, a regular large with one damage notable is fine. If you can, try to get a large cluster with Doryani’s lesson to get leech. Even if Atziri’s flask provides leech, it is not 100% uptime and the cluster helps maintain leech.
Other large will be with stormrider on pathing to generate power charge.
No worries if you don't have those notable on large it’s not a big of a deal we also can get a medium cluster to generate some power charge on crit ( node is called storm rider available on effect of non damaging ailment medium cluster).
Using physical to lightning support gem to get the last 50% conversion for now.
We are able to run a other 50% aura in the build thanks to Guardian’s Blessing support. How this works, basically the blessing support works with minions, you will be degening the minions and it will provide you an aura! in order to make it work properly we are going with the 4L setup:
- Guardian’s Blessing support.
- Raise Spectre
- Meat shield support
- Haste (can be any other aura btw)
The minions we are using is the Dark Marionette, this minions are available in ritual but it's tradable, i usually buy them from the trade web site around 5c-10c early league. Why do these minions, dark marionette can revive on their own after dying. Raise spectre Lvl 13+ enables one other minion so you can get two dark marionettes running. I do recommend not lvl up to much Guardians blessing, since lvl scale also the degen, I do keep the gem around lvl 11-12, so u can out degen with vitality & the consecrated ground make a really good uptime on those! If however the 2 minions die together your aura will go down and when ever the minions are up again u can recast your aura, so pay a bit attention to this. Other tips i can give about this setup do not run those in a main weapon can if u weapon swap they will be gone and u will have to ressumon them once again.
Sustaining energy shield with Righteous fire early is possible with stone golem & vitality lvl21 along with the implicit boots eater of world “life regeneration rate“, there is also a wheel spell damage leech as energy shield right under Eldritch battery worth using a passive point to get some spell leech to help the recovery. I’am personally not in the need of RF in the early maps, I use it only for bosses. Later when we have access to the keystone Corrupted Soul sustaining RF will be ez.
In order to do elemental reflect map & atziri phase u can run the unique ring “Sibyl's Lament” + pantheon “Soul of Yugul”.

On this pob we upgraded medium cluster to get grand design + remarkable.
Added a timeless jewel Glorious Vanity providing the key stone Corrupted soul : +15% of life as extra ES and 50% of dmg taken split on energie shield strong combo with inquisitor since we have perma decent life & es regen. We are also looking for a specific notable on “deep thoughts” since the timeless jewel change the small nod & notable, i’am looking to get 10% convert phys to light or cold both works (fire too but not optimal) + the light masterie 40% convert phys to light so we dont need the support gem physical to light support anymore and go for inspiration (+9%dmg and more comfy on mana)
Added a small cluster reservation + the anoint change to charisma + enlighten lvl 3 in order to play a other 50% aura in our case its wrath, there is other option for aura reservation u can decide to go for herald of purity and herald of ash or even a defence aura. I personally go for wrath cause there is a watcher eye mod “”gain 15-25% of physical as extra lightning dmg” this watcher eyes mod alone give +16.7% more dmg on perfect roll.
We changed a rare ring for a unique ring called death rush, chad ring for mapping providing adrenaline : 100% inc global dmg so good for explode scaling, 20%mvs speed & cast speed making faster to clear maps and also +10% flat phys mitigation.
Tips : you can copy the cluster from the trade website and import on pob to see what notable is first, or you can just go on trade and look at the drop down, the middle notable will always be in the back. Here a gg web site to look for clusters, really really useful for any type of cluster!
Ring we want the veiled mod “+1 to Minimum Endurance Charges &(3/4)% chance to gain an Endurance Charge on Kill” combined to a Cast when damage taken immortal call setup, which will provide decent defence in maps.
Other amulet choices can be a Replica Dragonfang's Flight +3 lvl of penance brand, usually expensive early league.
Belt we go on a stygian to get our phasing on kill on the abyss jewel, one mod I personally enjoy running is %reduced flask charge used, it makes our flask sustain way better!

Biggest change there is mostly the 8L helmet and gloves changes for more dmg with less clear since no storm gift.
Using a 8L helmet now (MAMA the damage) there is a video here for crafting this helm, cost of the helm around 15-50 divines can be less or more, a lot of rng involved in the crafting process.
You should be comfortable doing everything in the game and you can start farming for mageblood to achieve the ultimate version of the build, the one that beats them all, the true power of brand.
At this point it will depend on what you like the most, clear, defence, single target, farming for mageblood?
Clear option should be inpulsa + storm gift, downside is no access to gloves implicit harder to get the conversion but you still have the option of the gem or timeless jewel + light masterie (setup we are using already) and also loosing a lot of damage cause gloves can provide a lot.
Defence option i did cook three different pob u might like! Those are expensive since it will require a lot craft.
1. pob : here (armour/es, militant faith, inner conviction, conviction of power setup)
Dat one is more focus armour & ES along with endurance charge to mitigate elemental damage, using forbidden flesh and flame to get minimum 4 power and endurance charges along with inner conviction keystone coming from the militant faith to take full benefit from the power charge. The scion offer a really good spot for the combo Unnatural instinct & militant faith this way we are getting over 150 devotion opening some special notable change with the timeless jewel, i’am in love of Immune to ailment while on consecrated ground (i’am talking about more about this jewel on the youtube video). We changed explode sources for implicit weapon a other way to get explode in the build, pretty expensive i would say, these items are here to showcase different way of getting explode. A body with a lot of armour and energy to get full benefit from the masterie armour/es, literally doubling the stats from the body!
2. pob : here (evasion/es, supress, glorious vanity, corrupted soul, unwavering crusade)
This one focusing on evasion, suppress with a bit a of block. The main difference in this version is the forbidden flame & flesh jewel we are going for unwavering crusade providing free Wrath, Anger and Hatred allow us to run less reservation and unable to run grace too. Explode is coming from the flask this time instead of body.
3. pob : here (Block, Elegant Hubris, Supreme Ostentation, unwavering crusade)
Focus on block on this version 75% block atck & 71% block spell. Block & brand gameplay fit really well together since we are able to just manually dodge cause how safe is the playstyle. Damage is obviously lower since we are not dualwielding anymore, still manage to get 77m dmg! Sadly not immune ailment in this version but we are immu shock with tempest shield and immu freeze with pantheon & chill with the boots and some reduced ignite duration with patheon. I would say might be the one u want to go for if want a good dmg/defense solution.
In those three different versions I wanted to cover multiple aspect such as another way to explode flask/weapon, different timeless jewel combo, different flame & flesh, different way to get conversion etc … I let you choose the setup u will like the most and create your own version of PBoD, don't forget to look at the Usefull Informations, good stuff in there to make ur own build!
🤑 End game with mageblood
I’ve been cooking 3 pob kinda similar to the previous section.
It's important to understand those versions I've built without the knowledge of the new league coming!
pob : Version Armour Es, Inner conviction flame/flesh, 5 endu, 86% max res
pob : Version Eva Es, Unwavering Crusade flame/flesh, suppress, block, 86% max res
pob : Version Block, Elegant Hubris, Supreme Ostentation, unwavering crusade flame/flesh, 6endu, 86% max res, AG.
The Ar/Es version is more focused on phys mitigation & regen, we still get some elemental
dmg reduction with the endurance charge. Around 190M dps
The Eva/es version on the other hand is lacking a bit of physical dmg mitigation we do still
have endurance charge on kill, the 10% phys miti coming from the ring & phys taken imp on the body. We manage to get 61% chance to evade & 49% block chance on top of the
suppress & 86% max res. Around 155M dps
The block version is comfy to play or few reason, one is being block … yeah being to able to fully mitigate dmg when you block is really powerful, two we have a lot of flat dmg reduction
34% phys & 18% ele, 18% phys taken as ele, 86% max res and 10% reduction dmg taken global coming from fortification ended. Also running a Animated guardian setup in there,
providing Action Speed cannot be modified to below Base Value, Nearby Enemies cannot deal Critical Strikes , Culling Strike and more. Definitely a good one I might go for!
🐕 Animated Guardian

So Animated guardian i would say there is 3 different setup for us, cheap version, expensive
and expensive +++ witch required a anoint amulet to make it work. You can find the three different one in this pob : here you can look at the different item i’am using by swapping gear

🧿 Map modifiers
● Players cannot Regenerate Life, Mana or Energy Shield can run with a mana flask but eh we lazy and we skip dat one, if somehow u still want to run this map mod, make sure u get some life leech/recovery kill/life on hit this will be your only recovery sources and dont activate rf.
● Players have 60% less Recovery Rate of Life and Energy Shield I do skip this personally, can run this with %life on kill, dont activate rf, be aware with %effect map modifiers this become like 99% less recovery
● Players have (-12--9)% to all maximum Resistances Dangerous mod and keep in mind with this modifier RF will deal more dmg to you since lower max fire res
● Players have 25% less Area of Effect Annoying cause less explode radius
● Players gain 50% reduced Flask Charges Annoying without mageblood, uptime flask is really bad, your map take longer
● Players have 60% reduced effect of Non-Curse Auras from Skills I do avoid this one just because it reduced the mana regen coming from Clarity still viable u have less dmg too.
● Monsters have 70% chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments I dodge this one early since i’am running inpulsa, also keep in mind with effect monster are immune to ailments, you cant shock & chill you lose a lot of dmg. After swapping to explode imp weapon/flask/body mod become duable, the mod just become a other tank modifiers.
● Debuffs on Monsters expire 100% faster a t17 modifier, brand count as a debuffs on monster so your duration become really bad and u never get to 20 stack its a massive dmg loose
● Players and their Minions deal no damage for 3 out of every 10 seconds a t17 modifier, just horrible to play with this, avoid it
There are a lot of dmg modifier turbo, pen, min max res, extra ele/chaos etc. I usually try to
avoid too many of those at once especially when there is Turbo(monster atck/mov faster) mod , same for tank modifier life/supp/life as es/reduced crit.

1. Fracture a Profane wand ilvl83 with : +1 to Level of all Spell Skill Gems if there is no base available on the market for fracturing +1 all you can still make one using some fossil 4 socket reso with Corroded + Jagged + Metallic + Shuddering -> 1/4 to get +1 all
2. Spam essence of Deafening Essence of Woe until +1 to Level of all Phys/Lightning Spell Skill Gems.
Prefixes are done after getting +1 all light with essence
3. Craft Prefixes cannot be changed with the bench and go reforge caster until t3/t2/t1 depending on what you want If you get unlucky and you fill up the suffixes (1/9 chance to happen), you will have to annul a suffix If you get a good cast speed tier & another suffix you can still craft cannot roll caster with bench and annul. cannot roll caster will protect your cast speed & prefixes since they all got the tag caster or can augment caster instead of reforge
4. Craft with bench Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers + prefixes cannot be changed buy a veiled exalted orb it will be a 1/3 to fail & remove your cast speed if so go back to step 3. if ailsing doesn't troll you , can craft with bench any dot multiplier (chaos/fire/cold/physical) and go unveiled Unveiled mod we want by order :
- Chance to deal double damage
- Critical multiplier nearby
- Chance to deal double damage with focus ( i don't like this one at all but can work )
If you dont get the unveiled mod you want, you can save your cast speed modifier, craft cannot roll caster & annul
5. Craft either double damage or crit multi depending depending which unveiled mod you get
Synthesis/ non fract weapon ->
1. roll +1 all spell with alteration (if you got 2 mod you can imprint and annul to make a clean +1 all spell blue)
2. prefix cannot be changed then imprint
3. regal, if you hit a prefix caster, you imprint back, unless you regal high spell dmg or +1 RIGHT! 4.Veiled exalted orb, unveil pref are Spell non chaos/mana regen block physical with bench. unveil suff cast speed/multi nearby/DD block any dot multiplier.
5.1 If unveil prefixes, remove the third mod u get with regal with cannot caster bench annul orb, craft multi mod, prefixe cannot be changed, cannot roll attack and augment physical harvest.
5.2.1 If unveil suffixe and regal give a suffixe craft cannot roll atck augment phys 50/50 to win if you loose back to imprint 5.2.2 If unveil suffixe and regal give a prefixe, craft mana ex slam a suffix, craft cannot roll atck augment phys 50/50 to win if you loose back to imprint
6.clean up the mod added with regal with cannot caster annul orb make sure to press alt and look if the mod you want to remove is not a caster one
7. You can multimod and craft the other mod you want or if you want a 6 mod item you will have to get a good prefixe unveil and continue step
8. Pref lock augment caster until good cast speed if you get spell crit can pref lock & aug caster harvest again until you get a good caste speed modifier.
8. cannot roll caster bench & ex slam until decent multi roll if you dont hit multi, you can annul, cannot caster will prevent you from removing any prefixes since they are all caster & cast speed is also a caster mod.
10. craft double damage on the bench and you are done :)
also good luck and before doing this make sure you are done rolling your implicits
🤤 Early Weapon
First you need to look at trade if there is any good early weapon for cheap, if nothing is up or
too expensive its possible to craft some good cheap weapon.
Take a fractured base (wand, sceptre, rune dagger, just to remind you u cant dual wield a
wand with runedagger/scepter) with either +1all/+1light/+1phys and use some essence cast speed, Shrieking Essence of Misery should be enough for the weapon we are going to craft
until you get one of those 3 mod, crit multi/ crit chances spell/spell dmg and than craft either crit multi/ crit chances spell/spell dmg.
gonna end up with a decent 4 mod weapon enough for atlas progression, i dont recommend
to try to get better not worth the invest! better to spent 1-2d to get a 5mod weapon!
🥴 Early 6L helmet
Buy ilvl84+ shaper base (better have to go for a good ES) critical reforge harvest until any tier of hypo & at least +2% spell crit chance dont settle for only +1% spell crit not worth since capping crit will be way harder it's like an average of 1/30 to get +2 ⁄ 3 spell crit & any tier of hypo.
😔 Brand cluster
Medium Brand ( ilvl 68-83) “Remarkable & Grand Design
Best way will be to alt spam until Remarkable or grand design, augment & regal for Grand Design. Could also do some reforge speed harvest, i personally always make my cluster doing alt spam + regal

Information
Motivations :
The motivations of crafting this in the first place is to replace inpulsas as our source
for explosions. At t0 this provides a (31-35%) explode chance with (8-12%)
increased aoe.
This allows us to run a rare body armour with better defenses and potentially better
affixes, aswell as allowing us to drop storm’s gift for rare gloves which have a ton of
utility. In addition, we can use awakener’s orb to have dual influence which gives us
a ton of options like Increased aura effect, phys taken as element or frenzy
charge on hit.
Of these, the recommended is to go with Redeemer’ s influence for up to (21-25%)
increased effect of auras at t0. This can be particularly valuable since we stack so
many auras. This section can be as a guideline to make other combinations of
influenced mods.
Cost/Downside
We lose clearspeed with this, thus it is recommended to have a decent amount of
aoe / brand attachment range when substituting if your farming strat requires good
clear. Additionally, this requires more investment than buying inpulsa , which is really
not a bad body armour for a long time.
Tips and tricks:
- You may also use Oriath’s end for explosions. This can be useful if it is cheap, or in scenarios where you are looking to run a specific body armour without explode at all. For example with eldritch influenced armour with huge defenses but no explode, or if you are running an ivory tower build.
- Be sure to look at the market , to see if self crafting is even worth it to begin with.
- Also look at market to see if you can skip some of these steps. You may find a body armour with the t1 mod you want + another influenced mod, that you can use a dominance orb on.
- With aura effect and explode we are combining a prefix and a suffix influenced mod, so crafting is not possible.
- But if you are combining 2 prefixes, such as explode and phys taken as cold, you can craft prefixes cannot be changed and then reforge influence for another influenced mod OR reforge physical for additional physical reduction. In this case, you cannot benchcraft defenses.
- The same applies for 2 suffixes. You can reforge defense, reforge life, reforge influence, whatever you want.
How to craft the body armour
We are using the fact that when using awakener’s orb on 2 pieces of influenced
gear, they will keep 1 (if any) of their influenced mods. Thus, we will roll 2 body
armours with each a t0 mod, then combine them into a body armour which has both.
We will show you how to craft the explode + increased aura effect% body armour.
Step 1:
Get a high quality (26%+) body armour base of your choice. Sacred Chainmail for
armour/es is recommended, but you are also free to use Necrotic Armour if you
want evasion/es. You do not need ilvl 86 +, ilvl 84-85 is also totally fine and much
cheaper.
● As a bonus, you can look for one which has a high base percentile roll.
Step 2:
Roll the easier mod between the two influenced mods on this body armour. In our
case that means using a redeemer’s exalted orb to give it influence and using 1
socketed bound fossils to get t1 aura effect.
Step 2.1
a: If there is 1 other influenced mod with this, use orb of dominance and hope it
upgrades the aura effect. Otherwise, start over from step 2.
b: If there is 2 other influenced mods with this, use orb of annulment to remove one
of these and then orb of dominance. If you annul the aura effect or miss dominance
orb, start over from step 2.
c: If there are 0 other influenced mods, fill your suffixes. You can do this with
benchcraft + exalted orb or prefix to suffix beastcraft.
- Then use a wild bristle matron beastcraft. If your suffixes are full, this will always give suffixes cannot be changed. We will use this to get another influenced mod while preserving the aura effect.
- Harvest craft reforge cold, to get phys taken as cold. Now double check that this didn’t add 2 influenced mods. If this happened, see b:.
- orb of dominance and hope to get t0 increased aura effect. If you miss, start over.
Step 3:
Buy any non-armour ilvl 85+ crusader influenced body armour from the trade site.
We are going to be spamming reforge physical on the harvest bench, so
non-armour is a small optimization to make it easier to hit the explode mod
Reforge phys until you hit t1 explode. This is a 1/5 the chance when you hit
explode. On average this will cost 8000-9000 lifeforce.
Step 3.1:
a: If there is another influenced mod. use orb of dominance and hope to upgrade
phys, otherwise start over
b: If there are 2 other influenced mods, same thing as 2.1.b. We hope to annul one
of the 2 other mods.
c: If there are 0 other influenced mods, fill your prefixes. You can do this with
benchcraft + exalted orb or suffix to prefix beastcraft.
- Benchcraft prefixes cannot be changed and harvest reforge critical modifier. This will give a power charge mod.
- Dominance orb and hope to get t0 explode, otherwise start over from step 3
Step 4:
- DOUBLE CHECK that both body armours now only have 1 single influenced mod each. Maybe you missed it before.
- Click awakener’s orb, then click the body armour you do NOT want to keep, then click the body armour you DO want to keep. (It also says this on the orb itself).

If you don't have enough mana to cast your spell you probably miss something on reservation, could be an aura not linked to enlighten, the anoint on amulet, mana mastery, qual inspiration, small aura cluster, life cost masterie, mana regen tatoo.

No, it’s not swiping a credit card.
Mostly playing a lot on league start. It sounds obvious but the more you play, the more currency will be generated. Super early on, I do chaos recipe while coding heist early.
- What could I farm with this build?
Will depend on which stage of gearing you are using, but I would say pretty much everything you enjoy doing. Build is super versatile in the content it can do efficiently. Early on I would not recommend going legion as an exception because to get full benefit from this league mechanic, you will need a bit more movement speed & clear.
- Why am I dying?
You should expect to die a few times with early gear depending on map mods, rare modifiers, etc.. To do it short get %life your jewel it’s important, blast-freeze aoe notable cluster can help, your glorious vanity, your leech, ring endurance on kill & death rush, phasing and cast 2 brands at once and you should be fine
- How much currency should I farm before crafting the 8L helmet?
You can start with 10-15d, average cost is around 20-40d depending on your luck it can be less or more …

In Skill make sure you're running only righteous fire and not the vaal version Include Penance Full DPS & count 2 so at the bottom side you will show your actual damage
- I have +2 crit helmet and I feel like I'm lacking damage. What's wrong?
Make sure you are not running elemental overload (might be obvious but it happens to some people) Are you wearing a spell crit & hypo helmet? penance lvl 21? Do you have a +1 gem, cast speed/multi amulet? some crit multi on jewel? Are your weapons decent? Are you making sure to use assassin mark on single target? If you have checked everything that I just mentioned, your damage should be decent enough to clear atlas (voidstones, favorite slots, etc) early. I would recommend importing your exile on Path of Building and look at what your crit chance is on single target.
-Can you run full cold conversion?
You can yeah, would i recommend it? No, you lose a ring slot and you lose shock.
How do you get your immunity to freeze?
Early it’s via Arctic armour, there is an upgrade of the Brine King pantheon providing freeze immunity so we can drop Arctic armour and really later when we are using purity of elements we can change pantheon then.
Should I use arma brand for leveling until getting good gear or can I use stormbrand early?
You can do whatever you want for leveling pretty much, as long as you know what you are doing. Personally, I think armageddon brand is better for leveling than storm brand since they removed lightning damage is lucky mastery from the tree & flat light to spell vendor recipes on weapons.
Why inquisitor and nothing else?
Simply the best possible choices here, Not being worried of any elemental penetrations, a huge quality of life, allow us to split damage in half without any restriction, The regen of the inquisitor is also really strong allowing us to be able to sustain RF & having high regen in endgame is really comfy
When do you swap from EO to crit?
We remove elemental overload as soon as we swap to penance since we want to go crit.
How can I sustain my es with RF on and what level do I switch?
We are sustaining es with rf on when we access to the key stone Corrupted soul (glorious vanity timeless jewel) With stone golem & vitality lvl 21 you shouldn't have issue sustaining RF, i recommended also to go with exarch boot’s implicit (recovery rate of life), it helps a lot, leech from flask help recover your life faster. Personally I'm not using RF on early maps since I don't really need the damage boost from RF.
How do you get early life crit mult jewels?
I’m buying them, the only one I craft is the synthesis one with %spell damage leeched as es and craft it with fossil crit + life.

Early on we use : Soul of the brine King & Soul of Abberath fully upgraded After getting ailment immun we can swap brine king one to Soul of lunaris fully upgraded Worth to mention if you wanna run some uber labs, trap can be rippy and solaris & ralakesh can be used Also if you are fighting el daddy Sirus, Soul of Arakaali is a good one.
Why do you not use a staff?
Simply because dual wielding is stronger.
What are your Defensive Layers?
Huge regen, aoe feeze, decent hp pool, safe brand playstyle, endurance charge on kill and death rush early in the game.
Why no heatshiver?
Multiple reason for this, one is locking yourself up in a situation where you are playing more unique items with no life rolls on them, because playing with this helm you will also need to double COBTH,, so you lose shock (50% inc damage taken from hits) and will also need to find a way to cap your crit, probably gonna be a watcher eye crit mod witch is expensive and on top of this you need a body chest with good corruption implicit (gem lvl). At the end you lose a lot of life, high shock, defence, utility, flexibility. This is not how I want to be in an endgame situation, with low life/defence/utility character.
What anoints?
Depending which stage of gearing you are at. For damage a really cheap one is Storm Weaver! When I need reservation efficiency Charisma.
Why & when can I use Death's Rush?
Deaths rush cause its the king ring for mapping with the extra movement speed, sustain & defence the ring provide is worth using while doing maps When? Soon as you can :D

We are brander, you can cast your brand on the boss then run away, the brand playstyle offers the possibility to be focusing only on dodging abilities from bosses/mod

Singularity really cool unique for early for sure, there are just a bit expensive first day Void Battery can be used with the timeless jewel Militant Faith ( Inner Conviction ). Do I recommend going for it? Nope not really worth in my opinion, 20-50c rare weapon with glorious vanity stronger.
Can I use Thunderfist until getting a 6 Link Shaper Helmet?
Not really since penance got a bad damage effectiveness & a 5L helmet with either Hypo or + 2/3 base crit will do the job and it should be a couple of chaos on trade early in the league.

How do you craft the +1 scepter/wands for early game?
Personally i'm not crafting the early weapon, i’m looking on the market for either 1+all spell/1 all light spell with at least 3 of those 4 modifier Spell damage/light damage, cast speed, crit chance for spell, multiplier and than craft the fourth missing it should end up with a decent weapon for the entire atlas completion. How ever if there is no weapon on trade or expensive u might look at fractured price +1all/ligh/phys on sceptre/rune dagger/wand might be worth if its cheap to buy and use some Shrieking Essence of Misery.
why not double call of the brother hood?
With hatred change now it provides only some Physical as extra cold and no more %more cold and the fact inquisitor ignoring monster resistances i dont see the point of removing two ring slot and loosing the shock.

Nop, it give a more cast speed multiplier and more cast speed dont apply to brand activation frequency same for the action speed. Only cast speed work!
