Serpents Beam has 3 separate attacks, it always attacks in the following sequence:
Combo Starter1 → Combo Starter2 → Combo Finisher 1,2,3
Each Combo Starter generates 1 combo point baseline plus any additional you have from gear.
They increase damage based on the following formula (CFD = Combo Finisher Damage):
CFD = Base Dmg (1 + Combo Points Combo Finisher Amplification)
The Base number of Combo Points is 1 per Combo Starter.
Substituting that into the equation sets the base value to 3.

they enable a lot more damage through Magnus’ Laws.

For progression from here to the full endgame,

Serpent Beam is far less powerful than Hammer of
Ash early, staying as Hammer of Ash is a
reasonable option until you get some combo gear.
Especially if you have no spell damage pets.
Things I recommend getting before swapping from
HOA, youre pretty much always gonna feel like
you're downgrading for a bit when swapping from
Hammer of Ash.

is constantly upgrading your weapon
This is pretty much what
your gear should look like
at the end of the campaign.
Make sure to get a little bit
of energy before the last
boss (enough to reach 85
for easiest time) that way
you can equip extra aura, 5
link and focus skill
You won’t need to change
anything going into early
timemarks, if you’re dying
it’ll be to now regain/regen
so you can either spec
e enough regain to your
taste. Or add in Compound
Potion.

principle of the campaign is skip as much as
possible and use the troves to catch up on exp. Kill

Ethereal Prism

The Ethereal Prism mods do not include any of
the ones that are likely to be much rarer and
therefore unsuitable for this stage of the game. I
can’t say for sure that the Prism’s listed here
will be cheap or what not, but so you have
something to aim for:
Major Talent Additions - These add an additional effect to your Major Talent in the tree you place them. The best place for them is in Magister due to the abundance of Talent Points allocated at the end of the tree.
The Prisms can also be crafted to apply additional effects to the Talent Tree’s within range, these are some of the good mods for this build (This means for Minor and Mediums you get 3x the effect on each node since you allocate 3 times)

- When activating 2 Legendary Medium Talent within the area, Gains Spell Aggression when casting a Spell Skill +50% Spell Aggression Effect
- When activating 2 Legendary Medium Talent within the area, Has 100 point(s) of fixed Blur Rating
- When activating 2 Legendary Medium Talent within the area, Inflicts Frail when dealing Spell Damage
+50% Frail Effect
- All Legendary Medium Talent within the area also gain: +8% Movement Speed
Minor/Medium
- All Minor/Medium Talent within the area also gain: +2% Attack and Cast Speed
- All Minor/Medium Talent within the area also gain: +4% Affliction effect

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you see the world) there aren’t many insane pets for this build. Generic Spell stuff is the best, but also you can use +1 curse, defensive stuff, or even the Affliction on full life if we strength later and don’t reserve any life.
