Step 1: Leveling process
This part is something you should enjoy. Take your time and enjoy the MSQ. It will only take you
a few hours to get to 50 and the rest of the day to get from 50-55 in Talandre. They recently
removed EXP from side quests, so focus only on MSQ for now.
Do not worry too much about gearing during your level 1-50 run. As soon as you get to Chapter
11 in the story, you’ll be given Tier 2 Blue gear which is comparable to end-game T1 gear. This
makes it so you’re on par with people who geared up in T1 and are just now coming back for
Talandre.
For support mains, don’t bother building support during this process; go DPS for now, even with
your support weapons(bow/wand) otherwise, it will feel miserable.
Guardians
Once you hit level 50 or 55, you can look to do some side quests to get some key Guardians
you’re gonna be using, especially in dungeons.
You dont have to do it right away, but if you plan on doing higher tier dungeons, you should grab
Shade Revenant Stheno:
Grab the Ruins of Turayne Waypoint and start the For Whom the Bell Tolls side quest. It
should only take a few minutes to do, but will help your DPS output at bosses.
Step 2: Gearing process
So you finally got to level 50. Congratulations! You’re ready for Talandre, but first, lets make
sure you know the steps to getting geared.
This step is what takes the longest, but luckily, through a lot of QoL updates, TnL systemically
makes it so players don't take months just to catch up.
But before I tell you how to get multiple streams of gear going your way, let me break down the
things you’re going to be looking to work on first.
Armor Sets
I’ll keep it simple for now so you’re not overwhelmed. The advanced stuff comes later once you’ve had the time to process the basic information first.
When it comes to armor pieces, you are usually given a choice between the two types of major mitigation: Endurance or Evasion.
Endurance
This is the anti-crit stat. A lot of the damage in this game that tends to kill you is caused
by Critical hits. There is also a stat called Heavy Attack that doubles the final damage
people do, so when an attack crits and heavy attacks, it can potentially one-shot you.
Endurance prevents crits so that even heavy attacks feel less impactful. If you have
more endurance than a person has critical hit, you have a chance to glance their damage,
severely reducing their damage.
Evasion
This is pretty straightforward. It’s a stat that causes people to miss their attacks, but it
also causes their CC to miss as well. When choosing to go this route, you have to carefully plan out your build(You can use Questlog.gg) because having less evasion than someone’s Hit Rate will ensure that they still hit you 100% of the time.
Where to farm?
Abyss Dungeons
Anytime you see this gate/door symbol, it means that the area is an Abyss Dungeon. These
dungeons give you a lot: Gear, Parchments to craft skillbooks with, Mastery Exp, Sollant and
you get to do your Abyss Contract Scrolls for the same mobs you kill in them.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Abyss Dungeons are the biggest source of progression.
Just make sure you’re doing the dungeon that drops the gear you want.
Doing Pre-Talandre Abyss Contract Quests will only give you Adventure Coins(T1) while
Talandre Abyss Contract Quests will give you Loyalty Coins(T2). This is to say that you
should only be doing Talandre contract quests. Dissolve any pre-Talandre scrolls besides the Taedal Tower ones. See Abyss contract section below.
Instanced Dungeons
These are your regular dungeons. They consume a certain amount of Dimensional when you
open the Reward Chest at the end of every dungeon. You can go into the negatives if you don’t
have enough.
Certain Abyss Dungeons like Shadow Crypt and Saurodoma Island spawn chests at night that
give you more of these resources. Otherwise, you get 900 every daily reset.
The new Talandre system gets rid of the older tokens you used to get which makes it less
confusing to new players.
1-Star Dungeons will now give you Adventure Coins and 2 & 3 Star Dungeons will now give
you Loyalty Coin.
These Coins can be used to craft gear. Adventure Coin for T1 Gear and Loyalty Coin for T2
Gear.
Gear can be crafted through a new NPC in towns:
World Bosses
With the changes to Talandre, you will have 3 options. Peace, Dominion(A PvP mode where
you get put into a random team. You can bring your pre-made if you want) and GvG.
Go for the World Boss whose drop you need. There’s a chance they might drop a selection box
that gives you your choice out of one of the equipment the boss drops.
Arch Bosses
Arch Bosses drop the best weapons in the game(For most classes. Some classes don’t actually
need them to function. Do your research before committing to one.)
Where to get Loyalty Coins?
I’ll skip on Adventure Coins since they’re not going to be your main focus. They will act more as
a source of traits(more on traits later) for your gear.
Abyss Dungeons
Just make sure you do Talandre Abyss Dungeon Contracts, preferably with a full group. There are no
cons in being in a party, only pros.
Abyss Contracts
If given the choice, always go for Talandre Contract Quest Scrolls. You can dissolve the pre-Talandre scrolls for Allied Forces Seal. Talandre scrolls cost 25 AFS to craft.
Weekly Missions
Battle Pass
Whether you bought Lucent or earned it by selling items in the marketplace, the battle pass will
get you the most bang for your buck.
2-Star Dungeons
It’s recommended to do Random Matchmaking to maximize gains.
3-Star Dungeons
It’s recommended to do Random Matchmaking to maximize gains. If you are not 5k gearscore,
you can do 3-star dungeons.
4-Star Dungeons
This is my YT guide for the first 4-star dungeon:
- Cryp t of Augmentation Guide(Timestamped) w/ possible future challenge dungeon tips!
Once you reach 5k gearscore, start doing this right away. The mechanics are easier than 3-star
dungeons and it has a chance to drop earrings.
Arena Merchant
Located in Kastleton. You’ll need to run a few arena matches, but it’s well worth it.
Leveling Log
Runes
Runes come in 6 rarities: Gray(Common), Green(Uncommon, Blue(Rare), Blue Lv2(Chaos
Runes), Purple(Epic), Purple Lv2(Epic).
Your weapons and accessories will have 3 rune slots each.
You can freely choose what color each slot will be. Placing runes in a certain color order will net
you different bonuses.
The synergy bonus that you get will depend on the lowest Rarity rune you have equipped(See
image below):
- 2 Purple + 1 Gray = Gray synergy.
- 2 Blue + 1 Green = Green Synergy.
- 3 Purple = Purple Synergy.
Where to get Runes?
Dynamic Events
Opening up your map and clicking on the timetable will give you a schedule of what events are
ongoing. It will also show you the rewards you can expect to get.
Guild Weekly Boss Raids
Every week, you can do these with your guild and not only have the chance to drop world boss
loot, but you’re also guaranteed rune drops.
Abyss Dungeons
They also drop runes.
Dimensional Trials
These are basically the Mythic+ Dungeons of Throne and Liberty and the most reliable source
of runes. The higher you reach in each boss(they rotate weekly, two at a time), the more
achievement points you get. Reaching certain thresholds will net you more rune boxes. You can
join the Dimensional Trials Discord: discord.gg/ttltrials to find reliable teams.
World Bosses
You only get Rune drops from the first world boss you do for every time slot.
Crafting
If you have unwanted runes you can dissolve them and craft them into more rune boxes at the
vendors in town. This can get pretty costly in terms of sollant, so just be careful before you
decide to craft.
Weekly Missions
Traits
When you loot a piece of equipment, they start out with 1 line of trait.
These are stats that you can add onto your gear. See below, there are 3 lines of traits:
1st line: Heavy Attack Chance 20
---
2nd line: Hit Chance 20
---
3rd line: Critical Hit Chance 20
Depending on the rarity, you can level each line of trait to tier 4.
Green: Up to Tier 2
Blue: Up to Tier 3
Purple: Up to Tier 4
For example, you see Heavy Attack Chance + 20, and you see 3 grayed out nodes to the right.
Everytime you tier it up, it will add another +20 Heavy Attack Chance.
How do you add a line of trait to a piece of gear?
You can add an additional line of trait to a piece of gear by using the same exact copy that has your desired trait.
Example:
If I wanted a Hit Chance trait on that second line, I would grab another Resistance Vanguard Sword(or an extract version in the Auction House) with the Hit Rate trait, and then I can apply it there. If I dont have an exact copy, the other option I would have, is using Trait Unlock Stones.
Trait Unlock Stones
These things are crucial, especially if you’re trying to add a line of trait to an expensive piece of equipment like an Arch Boss weapon. Never try to trait up an Arch Boss weapon other than with Trait Unlock Stones.

Additional equipment and trait considerations
The guide includes examples of trait application on specific weapons and armor, including recommended trait lines and how to combine trait unlock stones for Arch Boss weapons.
Leveling Log & Runes: Visual Guides
The document features several images detailing leveling progression and rune configurations. See the source images for exact UI layouts and progression bars.
Runes: Synergy & Crafting
Runes provide various bonuses based on color combinations and rarity. The synergy bonuses are determined by the lowest rarity rune equipped, creating a stepped tier of bonuses.
- Gray = lowest synergy baseline
- Green = mid-tier synergy
- Blue = higher synergy
- Purple = highest synergy in current tiers
Rune crafting and dissolution are supported via town vendors. Crafting runes costs Sollant and can be costly, so plan your upgrades.
What traits can a piece of equipment get? (Trait List)
Traits like Heavy Attack Chance, Hit Chance, and Critical Hit Chance can be leveled up to Tier 4 depending on rarity. Upgrading lines increases the stat values per tier. The exact UI visuals show trait lines and their tiers.
How to add lines of traits (Practical steps)
To add a trait line, copy a piece with the desired trait and extract or transfer the trait onto your target gear. Trait Unlock Stones are recommended for expensive arch boss weapons to avoid failed upgrades.
Trait Unlock Stones (Practical usage)
Trait Unlock Stones allow selective unlocking and upgrading of traits on equipment. They are crucial when upgrading high-value gear.

Tips for Resource Management
- Always consider the gear drops from your chosen dungeons and align your farming with the gear you want to drop.
- Avoid over-investing in gear you don’t need immediately; prioritize the T1 and T2 progression path.
- Use alliance or guild content to secure additional rune drops and gear through cooperative play.
---
Gathering Resources: Mushrooms & Essences (Recap)
Gather mushrooms in the early game to secure Quality Natural Essences and other craft materials that will be essential for crafting interventions for endgame dungeons and boss fights.

End of Guide – Quick Visuals Summary
This document includes several images that summarize the core points: leveling progression, runes, traits, and Dimensional Trial progression. See the original document for image captions and exact UI names.
Additional Notes on Content Structure
The guide intentionally uses a structured flow from leveling to gearing, then exploring the main end-game progression systems like Abyss Dungeons, World Bosses, Dimensional Trials, and Traits. It emphasizes the newer Talandre shakedown of old tokens, replacing them with Adventure Coins (T1) and Loyalty Coins (T2) and clarifies how these coins relate to gear upgrades.
